I was watching Inside the NFL (used to be on HBO, now on Showtime).
The fellas were discussing who was the best player in the NFL, and one of them (Boomer?) mentioned Shazier as a possibility.
I was somewhat stunned, because:
1.) I didn't think many outside Steeler fans/media were that aware of Shazier.
2.) He has been hurt too often to be in that discussion up to this point.
Don't get me wrong: If he can stay on the field, he will earn his stripes as one of the best ILBs as he has some very special skills - namely insane speed, quickness and instincts.
But, at this point, to be mentioned as possibly the best player in the NFL, sorry dude, got to play more than half the games, if he even plays that many.
Does anyone have any possible solutions to this dude avoiding injuries more? Didn't Polamalu used to get injured more frequently, but found a way to avoid them for a pretty long stretch at one point?
