Rowe is a zone DB and fits what we want to do and what the eagles wanted to do last year.
Browns just cut a good slot corner...we should give him a look see/claim him. Steelersdepot has write up on him.
Back to the subject and OP...
IMO, sliding Willie Gay inside is the BEST SOLUTION. .
That's my opinion too Berm, every time I see a screen to the flat on Gays side..I cringe. Most of the time all I see on the screen is a defender flying past the receiver, sometimes making some contact, sometimes not even that. All too often it is Willy Gay that is doin' the flyin'. He has indeed improved with age but old Willy Gay still sucks at open field tackling. At least inside he can stay closer to his work.
I don't know must be watching a different Willie Gay he has always been money on screens plays to his side. The miss tackle is rare..my middle son and I always say not to Will side when teams try any type of screen to his side

Eagles' Pass D was only marginally better than the Steelers last year in YPG and YPA. Rowe was part of that Pass D. 2nd round pick they want to get rid of after 1 year. Maybe he is decent, but why would a terrible Pass D want to give up a decent player after only one year unless there is something we don't know?
Alright ADJ, I'll go back and watch the last two games again. I swear I saw that same ole fleeting glimpse of uniform wiffing on the receiver, twice in the preseason...at least. I admit I was wrong once last year, when I thought I was wrong but wasn't.
I was referring to his time with the Steelers as a whole not just the last two pre season games
I'm on it.....got a chalkboard right next to the TV
