It has come down to this. Who are the best three Punters the Steelers have had since 1970? This is the one position where the Steelers for whatever reason never had a Pro Bowl level talent.
Well, if you go into the 50's the Steelers had a guy named Pat Brady with an all time leg. He got hurt and only played two seasons, but when he played he averaged 44.5 yards per punt!
1 ) Miller. 1996-2003. Miller to me was our best punter. While his career average of 42.9 yards a punt isn't great, there were games where he really kicked us out of trouble.
2 ) Sepulveda. 2007-2011. Robo-punter had the potential to be our best ever. Unfortunately, knee injuries curtained his career. 43.7 career average.
3 ) Gardocki. 2004-2006. We had him in his last three seasons. Gardocki was a pro bowl level guy in his prime who never had a punt blocked.
Honorable Mention. Newsome, Colquitt, and Royals.
After a few day pass, I'll tally up all the votes and post them here.
