For a legit Super Bowl contender, that would be quite rare.

well their 1st second rounder is going to be the opening day punt and kick returner
I thought Ayers was being slotted for that role?
The lack of a 5th helps their cause. Perhaps a rookie at OLber will be a hard sell to squeeze a spot on the roster............
unless he kicks *** on special teams
damn...meant to type 1st seventh rounder.....because yes Ayers will have that job....and take over the slot receiver position by years end
true
which with his speed I would think he has a fair chance. His health will probably tell his story come 53.

but Ayers is a future HOFer
And there is Eli Rogers in the mix as well. If this guy can stay healthy he will be a interesting watch....
He had 8 sacks and 17.5 TFL his final season. If he can get to the QB, they will find a way to keep him. He's on the smallish side (lite not short), but he can add 10-15 lbs to that frame.
All the Ayers love. Too bad Dri wasn't taken in the 7th...

Would kinda make up for the '08 and '09 drafts then.... /sarcasm
2009 - PITTSBURGH STEELERS
RD SEL # PLAYER POSITION SCHOOL
1 32 Ziggy Hood DT Missouri - Sure he played, even started, but he was worthless. A first round pick who is worthless? That is NOT a good draft pick.
3 79 Kraig Urbik T Wisconsin - Cut within a year. That's not considered a good pick.
3 84 Mike Wallace WR Mississippi - God value, but ended up being an immature ***.
3 96 Keenan Lewis DB Oregon State - Gone
7 226 A.Q. Shipley C Penn State - cut before season started
These guys were all starters at some point, and Johnson is still playing, back with the Steelers. Nowhere near as bad as the 08 class. I'd consider this class above average.
I don't know who Johnson is.
I personally think he's an ILB - but, eh, we'll see...
LILB 50 Shazier, Ryan 14/1... 51 Johnson, Steven U/Ten ...46 Matakevich, Tyler 16/7
