Bell claims rumors of missed drug test 'untrue'

Unofficial but Mark Madden is reporting the same guy that told him about Martavis Bryant is saying he heard Bell missed a drug test. Again unconfirmed as of right now.

From our friends at DKPittsburghSports.com

Le’Veon Bell vehemently denied the report circulating online Tuesday that he missed or failed — the same thing in the NFL’s mind — a drug test.
“I haven’t missed any drug tests,” Bell said today when I asked, then asked again, about the topic. “I haven’t failed any drug tests. I’m completely fine.”

The next step will be making sure Bell’s “completely fine” on the field as well as off it. After appearing at the Rooney Sports Complex for the first day of organized team activities (OTAs) on May 24, we never heard from Bell again until he showed up for mandatory minicamp today.

Bell did not give a reason for his extended absence, but he did say his surgically repaired right knee is doing great.

“When I was running routes and doing everything, it felt even better today,” Bell said. “I felt more confident. The biggest thing for me is confidence. I know my knee is strong enough. I know my legs are strong enough. I know I’m in great condition. It’s just kind of mental now for me. As time goes on, the more and more reps I do, I get more confident in what I can do.”

Leveon Bell said no truth at all to him missing or failing drug test

I hope so.... because Madden came back on and said representatives I believe it was of the Steelers said they heard the same rumor.

I hope Bell is right because missing a test is equal to failing it and bye-bye second contract unless it was based mostly on incentives.

Everyone believes that Lev Bell is telling the truth, huh? OK.
......

Super Genius needs to stfu.

Mark Madden is a self serving pompous *** of epic proportions. With hockey over he needs to find an angle to keep people tuning in. On the flip side, we can't just assume that Bell is telling the truth based on recent past. I hope he is, we don't need another moronic superstar sitting on the bench.

If he is truly that stupid then at least you know what going to happen when his contract expires. Bye Bye. Dumbass Bryant too.

Still not sure why weed is on the banned list anymore... Probably what 80% of the league does it...

But it is and it isn't that difficult to avoid it when it is deemed illegal by the league.

And it is only illegal in the offseason. The league has set test dates in the offseason where they test for weed. During the season, the tests do not include weed. This is the league's way of unofficially acknowledging that some players use it for pain.

So pretty much, you only have to quit weed for maybe a month out of the year.

Bell tested positive before so his tests may be more random, but still it's crazy these guys risk millions for some weed.

That just speaks volumes for their stupidity. Millions left on the table for a temporary high. Let's hope these rumors are false as Bell stated. He really is a valuable asset to this team. So much talent surrounding Ben, yet they continue to make those off field mistakes

Well, he has been hanging out with Snoop Dog trying to do his terrible rap stuff. Maybe he got it from the contact high from standing next to Snoop.

I'm sure Madden has broke some stories, and to be fair I only see things here and on NFLN. However from what I've seen if he ate one too many cheeseburgers, "huh? OK"

Madden and the Media all regurgitate after one another. Next thing you know they have a story. RIGHT now I believe Bell and hope he doesn't prove me wrong.

Salute the nation

The thing is, he would have nothing to gain by lying; he would know it would eventually come out if he missed a test, unless he feels he has some kind of valid excuse that will get him off.

I just can't wait until the people beat down big pharma and stop the insane laws making weed illegal to start with. End the insanity. I thought CO was going to implode into hell after making it legal. Never happened.

Employers can still choose to not allow their workers to smoke it. The NFL has that right. To go to the extreme, you'd be OK if the pilot of the plane you were on was smoking weed? Point is, there are still going to be some limits, legal or not.

This is not even news on ESPN NFL show. I'm leaning towards this a non story..
