When Vontaze Burfict tore away from Le'Veon Bell and his limp knee, he wasn't just celebrating the play that tore the Pittsburgh Steelers running back's MCL.

It was a game-long, team-wide effort to injure him, Bell said.

"I don't think it was just him," Bell said of Burfict. "I feel the whole team was out there trying to twist my ankles and doing little dirty stuff in between the piles."

The Bengals aren't alone either as other teams in the AFC North also try to injure players, Bell said. He once thought that people didn't play football that way, he said, but knows better now and will adapt his play to protect himself.

Does this make Lewis a dirty coach?

I lost all respect for Lewis when commented on Ben being a whiner....he's a sore loser and has perfected it....no class at all

Also he's still better about Kim taking out Palmers knee

They told Bell how to handle it moving forward, just kick kick kick under the pile when they go to grab.

I lost respect from him when he let guys like Chad Johnson run that team. In fact, he really hasn't done much while in Cincinnati to earn any respect.

Blah Blah...Blah....Move on my friend Bell. Move on.

I don't think it makes Lewis dirty.

Anybody who has ever coached realizes deep down inside that the control you have is limited, fleeting. You get the wrong guy, one wrong guy, it can just blow it to shreds. Andy Reid and Terrell Owens, for example. Anybody who spouts off that they can totally control their team is full of ****.

The Bengals have always taken borderline personality players with talent. They take a lot of guys with character issues that drop because of them, but they are good players. Burfict is a good example. I doubt highly they are coached like that. But this isn't the first time Lewis has lost control of his team and I do think he tries to whip up their emotions when they play the Steelers.

He has won a lot in the regular season, but his QB always seem to play like **** in or be njured for the playoffs (Palmer in 2005 and Dalton last season).

I do not know whether Lewis instructs his players to be a little extra rough with the Steelers' star players, but I've read a lot of stuff over the years about him remaining bitter over the Palmer knee injury, as that was probably the best team he has had as Bengals coach.

There should be an INVESTIGATION as to "bounty Hunting". If money or organization of it. Suspend the head coach for a year, just like they did to Billicheat........... OH. Wait, that was Shawn Payton...... Can't keep my CHEATERs straight.

Salute the nation

Lewis is a bigger pos than Birthdefect.

if he is still pissed about carsuck`s knee that was his own OL who pushed kimo into carsuck, as he got beat and the play was a vertical route for the late chris henry.
Its his fault for cdonsistently tsking borderline character players he warned Burifict a few times to control him self he gave him a earful after the landry intc but he still did get. I hope they extend him and let the sorry *** city suffer and waste dalton`s, eifierts and AJ`s best days.
