Steelers sign veteran DB Donald Washington
Posted by Zac Jackson on May 9, 2016, 10:52 AM EDT
The Steelers are signing four players who participated as tryouts in their rookie minicamp last weekend, including veteran defensive back Donald Washington.
Washington, 29, was a fourth-round pick of the Chiefs in 2009 and played three seasons in Kansas City as a safety. He played three seasons in the CFL as a cornerback, and Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review wrote that the Steelers tried out Washington as a cornerback and plan to use him there. - Pro football talk.
>>>Okay, we have picked four DB's in the past two drafts....Golson, Grant, Burns and Davis. Gay is proven. Cockrell is proven. Why sign Washnington now?
