Well, I guess the Mike Adams experiment is over

Its not too late to start banning them.

Banning sucks! I don't care how ****** up someone is or how they try and rile everyone up, I enjoy it. Have always hated the bannings. People are fun to play with...

I know some are ********...but that's life

Nope. See this is what I'm talking about. It's not ok for people to act like that man. If people think it's ok and want to allow it then there's no choice but to leave at a certain point.

Tmc put in hundreds of hours of film work, because he had a passion for it. He'd evaluate 300 college players just for fun. Then millenials with uneducated opinions would blast TMC, because they disagreed. They would attack hits hours put in, like it would be a negative on this site.

The ******* kids are gone, and there is a system in place to keep this site civil. It's now safe for TMC of any new poster to come in and share opinions. The trash has been taken out so hopefully he'll return.

Thats because millienials have "instant" access to everything these days. Not realizing that guys like TMC puts in the actual studying to know which players would be suited for the pro's. This TMC sounds like a real gem. Can you guys lobby him back?

And I will still tolerate your stupid *** on this site and would look forward to meeting you. And all the others. Life is short.

^^^
Life is short indeed. Liberal, conservative, commie, vegan, carnivore. We are all steeler fans. Gotta unite somehow

i have never had a problem with ANYONE on this site. I've debated/argued, but still appreciated what anyone was saying.

Have always hated to see anyone leave OR get banned. but that's me....

Don't kid yourself SD, no one like you.... ;)

Hell, Even I was banned. Twice! Once for a nipple (since Coolie evidently has a problem with them), and a second time by DD since I did an indirect blaming of a certain member...

I think that's currently in the works.

I like his initials too lol

You like his letters. Heck, for a bit, I thought you were him. Then you posted...

;)

I'd read his evaluations. I'm assuming all those TMC draft threads have his input. Lol. No I'm not him

Don't think I've seen anyone get banned. Thank god. But agreed. No problems with different opinions/beliefs. I hear ya

At least now, the terms for banning are clearly defined. 5-10 years ago, Mods would ban people if they were having a bad day.

Why does it take this team 2 years longer than ANY other team to cut bait on obviously ****** players? They take "patience" to a new level....to an unappropriate level.

Because of people like Harrison, Gay , etc.

he left because ******** would follow him from thread to thread throwing up the same stupid bullshit even if it had nothing to do with the topic of the current thread. TMC was excellent at evaluating players and always had sound reasoning behind his opinions. Others who could not support their arguments as well as he did just couldn't let **** go. I should have banned all those fucktards and kept TMC here.

That's not what he said when he left. Said his issue was the amount of whining when the Steelers were questioned or disagreed with, that most of the board just erupted into hyperbole and bitchiness when anyone did. That 100,000-page thread on Dri Archer was the best example and final straw for the guy.

shinin - I guess I just didn't see anything that egregious in that Dri Archer thread, or anything directed towards TMC that hasn't gone on here for years with others.

You're right. I agree with you. He just decided to leave. The point is it isn't something that should be tolerated whether it's TMC or anyone else. We all have a choice to leave or stay but I'm not cool with this idea that it's just how it is and we have to just accept that people are going to come in here and be ******** to other people and go overboard.

Okay shinin, I agree with you in principle. But how in the heck do you want to accomplish that? Ask everyone, please, please, please be nice to each other, don't make jokes that may possibly offend someone, be careful with irony, not everyone gets irony, etc etc.

This is an internet message board with members from all walks of life that come in many shades and sizes. You want to keep discourse free flowing, let people express their views. I don't see how you can eliminate hurt feelings on the internet. Maybe there's a way, just not sure it's been discovered yet.

I understand that as well. We come here on our own and choose to come back on our own. I almost stopped posting here in 2009 when there was almost a full fledged mutiny on here over the losing streak that year. I get being passionate about your team but people were losing their minds. It crossed the line. Personal attacks towards the players, coaches, organization and to other posters who didn't agree with the bitching. I don't agree with everything the Steelers do but I am grateful to be able to be a fan and that they have provided with with many years of great football and I have a ton of respect for the organization as well so it's hard for me to understand how people can act that way even when they disagree or are upset about something. It's immature and ridiculous.

Of course it is, but that's the nature of sports fandom. You can go across the globe with basically every sport that exists from soccer, hockey, football, baseball and you'll find passionate fans railing against their teams, coaches & players. It's just the way it is. There is no good reason for Steelers fans to be any different. Just part of the human condition. Fans put in so much energy and passion rooting for their teams they feel entitled to insult, berate, deride, what have you. I think most everyone understands that. I too take offense at the negativity, so I try to fight it with as much positivity as I can. I can be critical of the coaches and the players, but at the end of the day I love this team, this franchise. I will almost always choose to defend the black and gold as opposed to belittling them.

I respect that. I know not everyone is rational and sensible about things that they feel like they have a stake in. (Politics is a perfect example......and the stakes are MUCH higher). I guess my main point is I just have more respect for the people who actually take the time to understand what they're arguing in the first place. If someone is being an ******* and uninformed on top of it, it's even harder to take. That's why people respected TMC so much. He is a decent dude AND he was very knowledgeable about the team and provided us with great insight and conversation. I very much agree with what you're saying about leaning towards being positive rather than negative. As far as that relates to the Steelers, my first reaction after a down game, or season isn't to berate anyone. I can only imagine that they probably feel much worse about it in some cases than we know. It's hard for me to go from watching a team win a Super Bowl and enjoying the ride to turning around and ******** on the same group of coaches and players a year later. These guys didn't just up and forget how to play football. **** happens. There's a bond there that should stay. We can be critical and respectful at the same time. If you expect the team to stay together you have to try and support them too as much as you can. Like I said most of that is just how I was raised. I appreciate everyone here that has been cool and it's why I still come here and post and hang out. Not as much anymore but to me it's still one of the best places to talk Steelers online. I get upset about people ruining that because I like the board so much. I get defensive about it.

Would you two just **** and get it over with already??

:003:

And the 2012 draft as of today just has one player left on the team. DeCastro

It's pretty simple: If you are going to bother with board rules, enforce them, EQUALLY.

DON'T enforce them on some posters and ignore them with others.

That's the very beginning of trouble and BS. Same thing should apply to our govt. The laws the Congress makes should apply to them just as much as it does the people. Last I knew, they didn't have to live with Obamacare.

If personal attacks are against board rules, then ENFORCE them, no matter who is making them, period.

I honestly don't care if personal attacks are or are not against the board rules; I just want whatever the rules are to be enforced equally. No double standards.

Man, that was one of our worst drafts in modern history. DD is solid, Beachum was a nice late pick. That is pretty damn ****** for the "smartest guys in the room."

Let's see Colbert act all arrogant when asked about that draft.
