As of 4PM Today, Michael Vick is No Longer a Steeler

Dude, you're talking to a guy who, after the Steelers signed Vick, implied that he would rather support the Eagles, who signed Vick DIRECTLY out of prison.

He's all over the place in his "stance."

Yea, I know. It was a jackass, meaningless stance, at least what we can see of it. I wish he'd stay away. I can't stand that for show ****.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora considers the Steelers a landing spot for Brian Hoyer.

The Texans should trade/cut Hoyer after signing Brock Osweiler. With Ben Roethlisberger missing four games last year, Hoyer could be added as an upgrade over backup Landry Jones. Houston can save $4.9 million from releasing Hoyer.

**** no....hoyer sucks ***.....

Yea, and your stand make a difference? In that time did you do anything that really mattered? Like rescue a dog or donate to an animal shelter? I hope so, or it was just for show.

I don't know why any of that matters. I doubt either Del or I expected anything to "happen" or "make a difference". I didn't want the Steelers or the NFL to get any of my money with that shitbag on the team. They didn't. Neither the Steelers, the NFL or DirectTV gave a ****.

I can hate dog fighting without rescuing dogs, can't I? I would never own a pit bull in any event. Not that it matters, but the dog I do have is a rescue dog.

dog gone it I don't want to miss out on the goodbye don't let the door hit yinz in the *** party!

good riddance

**** ah Mike Vick

bye

The difference is that as far as I know you didn't make some grand statements or state you were going to root for another team. But in a way you proved my point. The stand you made did nothing. None of those entities gave a ****. So instead of doing that, wouldn't it make sense to do something that might make a difference? As you have by rescuing your dog? You've done something there. I objected to a false stand, then announcing it to everyone. If that is the way he felt, just shut up and leave.

Hoyer doesn't want to be a back up, or at least he didn't. It why he left the 'burgh in the first place. Though i'd love to have him backing up Ben . . .

Denver has an opening.

PS Vick had his role here. Well he was here, I wanted him to do good. Now that he is gone, good riddence as his role here is no longer available. There is MUCH better out there for a #3.

Salute the nation

Del was a douchenozzle full stop.

Ark noted his disgust with the addition, Del went full retard.

Maybe. BUT

At the end of the day we are all steeler fans.. Some people on here will vote Hillary or Bernie. (shudder) Theyre still steeler fans Del, Im glad you are here. Your draft and player insight is valuable and im thankful to have it. Now Just vote Republican and we can put all this behind us. :D

Bygones are bygones... For players and posters... Vick was never a good pickup for us regardless... But he was a professional here.

professionals make sure they are ready when called upon...he did not have any grasp of the play book when he hit the field in his first game...he was a waste of money

So he was supposed to completely grasp the offensive after 3 weeks??? Right.

I think Vick's biggest issue wasn't the grasp of the playbook but the simple fact he couldn't hit the side of a barn if his life depended on it.

Vick has always been a lazy, stupid player that relied on his incredible speed, hell he admitted this when he was with the Falcons. The true stupidity was Tomlin's long term love affair with this thug, he wanted to sign him in 2009, and thinking he could learn a playbook and prepare professionally. Again the thug admitted he did not do this with the Jets on 2014.

For the record, ark is a shitbag. DBS and Burgundy can attest to this fact.

Even back in the fold, the whole organization took a hit in my book for signing him.

Being away from the game was a nice breather for me but I'm not nearly as into in this off-season as I normally am. I'm not scouting college players. I doubt I'll put a big board together.

I'm just a bit tired of being in disagreement with Tombert on too many issues. I loved the team in 2006 and that magic season just kind of re-lit all the fire I had for sports. I studied. I learned. Got really into roster building and the draft. But the Tomlin era has kind of pissed me off so much, I'm out of it now. A decade of being engrossed with it is enough.

The Vick thing was probably not the only straw, but it was a big final straw that put me way over the edge for supporting the team. I wrote my letter to Art and let him know.

Now he's gone, I'm back. But I'm not 100% back to where I was. Not even close. And I doubt I will ever be. Maybe some point down the line when Tomlin and Colbert are long gone, I'll be interested in the team building and GM work like I was, but not right now. That's probably over for me for a while.
