Ben MUST get his head out of his *** for us to advance

I wonder secretly if him forcing balls to AB and making him the first read almost every play the past two weeks had something to do with Brown being so close to the NFL Receiving records... I mean his footwork does look off, that's a different issue altogether, but he hasn't locked onto a receiver like that for an extended period of time for years....

I think he is a little off obviously. But I do really think he misses Bell coming out of the backfield for his check downs. A lot of his 3rd and short yardage he would swing it out to him,I do think Bell is a major difference. No slight to DW of course.

I hope it's just the illness he's been dealing with. My family has been dealing with flu type symptoms that are going on well over a week. It's horrible. I think Bryant was still feeling the effects of it today as well.

holy **** Rodgers just went deep on 4th down he must be a dumb *** too.

Whatever the reason, he played like **** last week, and he played a little less like **** this week.

I would also like to point out that Marcus Wheaton is our #2 receiver, because M. Bryant is an *******.

I felt the opposite.... I thought he perked up upon hearing the news....

Agree. (I feel dirty... ;-)). Ben got pumped. He had his on field interview and gave a shot out to Rex. Then again after the showers. There certainly has been something off with him lately but he was happy as **** end of this game and Jets/Bills news

Why can't he take a check down once in a while???? ****!

I was thinking the same thing especially today. It seemed like the Browns picked up on it too around the time the LB got the INT.

Ben needs to play better no doubt, but my worry is he's losing confidence in Wheaton and Bryant, so he's really looking for brown.
The first int it looked like Bryant got lazy on his route and rounded it off instead of cutting sharp inside, by the way Ben reacted anyways. Wheaton ran the wrong route later again, and after that he got lazy and didn't come back to the ball, almost resulting in another pic. Bryant has dropped quite a few passes as of late.

Mrs. Ghost asked a simple, relevant question: "Don't those guys get flu shots?"

There was a nationwide epidemic of "Bangkok Flu" - yes, that was the name of it - during the winter of 1980-81. It was predicted, yet I didn't get a shot (never had before). So, of course, I contracted it. I was sicker than a dog. Ended up losing 10 pounds and felt the effects for weeks.

Have gotten a shot every year since, and fortunately have been flu-free. It's not a coinky-dink.

We will live and die on ben's arm and decision making. If he turns the ball over in the playoffs we will be out, that's it and that's all, this young defense can't carry us Ben has to.That's way it is that's the way it should be, that's the way we should want it, he's making the lions share of the monney, he needs to step up and carry this young team. It's not about being a Ben hater or Ben fan boy it's about the steelers getting to the Super Bowl. Nothing personal just business... Steeler business.

There are 2 types of flu shots. A trivalent flu shot which covers 3 strands of influenza and the quadavalent which covers 4. The general public usually receives the trivalent unless your insurance can cover the quadravalent. There are more strands of the flu than that and the flu shot doesn't guarantee that you won't get the flu. There are other viruses that mimic flu symptoms. it seems as if the players were passing a virus around last week with the players listed out with illness on the reports.

I only saw Wheaton run the wrong route once, then I saw him catch a pass thrown behind him and save Ben from an interception. Heath stole the ball from a defender at least twice, saving Ben from two more sure interceptions.

I can understand why Ben wouldn't want to throw the ball to Bryant anymore, he's been relatively useless for the past few games, no effort at all. In fact, Tomlin should bench Bryant for the first playoff game, or at least the first half. Bring Coates in, or play multiple TE sets. But I think Wheaton has been playing well and should be moved ahead of Bryant on the depth chart, he's made some nice grabs on poorly thrown passes.

Does it matter where Wheaton is on the depth chart? in regards to Bryant

both WRs will play a lot and often

I look for Bryant to have a bounce back game Saturday..

I think DHB deserves some more playing time, he can get deep and he gets open.. he catches the ball more often than not lately, too.

This is one of things that bugs me about Tomlin... I just don't get it. I don't have a clue why he can't begin the game with Blake on the bench.

If the options are start him and then bench him in the second half or bench him in the first half and play him in the second half, I'd rather he play the first half than when the game is on the line.

What makes Ben great is also what causes him to throw a pick now and then. He throws passes other QBs wouldn't even attempt, and most of the time it works out. Sheesh, he had 350 yards, 3 TDs,and a 102 rating today even with the two picks. Ben is the least of our problems.

I wouldn't say turning the ball over is the least of their problems. In playoff games they are usually decided by one or two mistakes and they won't be facing the Browns. A good team will make them pay for turning the ball over.

How about not playing him at all except as an injury replacement?

I really do not understand why not playing him on defense at all is not an option.

Play them all - 5 WIDE!

We're not going to win this game running the ball. Don't even waste the time. Spread them out. I don't care if Ben throws a couple picks - as long as he gets us 6 TD's and over 40 pts.

I'm confident that Ben will do his best to keep the game close. He will throw at least two picks. Shades said in last week's presser that he is aware that they are 0-5 in games where they lose the turnover battle.

Or maybe the wr's will do their best to keep the game close by running wrong routes?
