I was all for replacing Archer, but more for a why is he on the team reason. There was no point in bringing in another specialist.Archer was good enough. And While I'm not going to hate on Tomlin this week because it was a great win, why does it take that type of a game for him to replace Jones. All of us could see that from his first week. Same as Boykin. He goes in and makes a nice diving INT and a good third down pass defense. Seems like Mike should get his advice here.

Jones has to be done. I doubt we see Archer back but I am terrified having AB return punts but he is absolutely the best and a weapon. Kickoffs can be Wheaton, Todman or the RB they just brought up. They don't need much. Heck, just tell them to take a knee every time it is in the endzone. I'd be happy with the ball at the 20 with no penalty. Even when we get a decent return, it comes back due to penalty so why risk anything there.
Jones should have been cut at halftime, or at the very least, had his uniform removed and escorted away from the team locker room.

Jones looks like he is playing to help the team lose. No excuse for that nonsense. He should be gone.
I thought they traded him to the Colts at halftime when their KR fumbled the first kickoff after the half.

They need to search for available talent before they make a move...once they find an adequate replacement then the move will happen...not before then...but its coming....the move they make may not even be a KR.
But I wouldn't be upset bringing Archer back....the one thing he didn't do is fumble. Jacoby is as high risk and while our margin for error is razor thin, turning the ball over on a kick or punt could change a game. We cant afford that. Id rather Archer field a kick, get us 15-19 and let Ben and the O take it from there. Jacoby is a risk to give it back each return. His issue is lack of focus and lack of confidence
I think if there were a decent returner who's a free agent - or on another team's practivce squad - the Steelers would have signed him by now.

I would hate to lose Brown, Boykin or Wheaton to an injury returning a punt. Although AB is wicked explosive as he showed last night...imagine losing him. There are times I would be ok not even having anyone back to field a punt and just take possession where it's downed.

If he did, I'd give him a shot. Seriously, give him and Touissant (since he seems to have moved ahead of Todman) a shot. They can't be any worse than what we have had and it will preserve AB.

I am now officially convinced that John Harbaugh has sent Jacoby Jones to the Pittsburgh Steelers on a top secret mission to infiltrate our lineup to sabotage games. I know this goes up there with all the great conspiracy theories from years past, but think about it, what greater way to get into our heads then to send Jacoby Jones to the Steelers to put the hurt on us while wearing a Steeler Jersey.
