Once again with a myriad of weapons at their disposal, the Tomlin Led Steelers went ultra conservative vs a ravens team who have a little run stopping ability and no secondary worth a damn... But Vick is inaccurate and not ready to pass yet you say? well who the ***** fault is that? they knew gradkowskis shoulder was ****** three weeks before the injury that benched him... they could have brought someone in then... even if that was Vick... they would have had 3 more weeks to get ready...
Im sorry, But while tomlin has his positives, games like today show why he is mediocre at best
Who was expected to lose Ben in the 3rd game of the season ? Seriously ? Brought someone in ?..........they did bring someone in......Or did you prefer Jason Campbell, TJ Yates or Mike Kafka ? Pat Devlin or beg Kyle Orton to come out of retirement ? Vick was the best option of that bunch, past sins not withstanding..........and hes been with the team for 6 weeks and IMO did rather well on short game notice. NO TURNOVERS and everyone predicted he would have two or more.
Tomlin does have his faults but this loss rest squarely at the feet, or shall I say on the leg of Scobee. 2 for 4 this game, 2 for 4 vs NE and NOTHING longer than 44 this season. And those which he did make were nothing short of dramatic. I don't know how many coaches attempt a 52 yarder with a kicker with no confidence, who's already missed two clinching kicks from less than 50 in the same game. If I second guess Tomlin on anything, its probably the decision to forego punting and pinning but if the ball goes into the EZ the net is 19 yards or so. He gambled....
