Mike Tomlin: We listened to the Patriots Radio Broadcast for the Whole First Half

They probably have some guys like the Lenny and Squiggy characters in the movie Used Cars on the payroll.

Speaking of movies, I wonder if there was something in process and Tomlin was like Marvin in the airport at the end of Midnight Run.

So to sum up:

  • Patsies**** cheated and got away with it.
  • Steelers not ready for the Patsies**** pushing the rules, and even violating the rules.
  • Steelers move the ball at will but **** up in the red zone.
  • Gronkowski is an important part of the Patsies**** offense but the Steelers seemed shocked by that fact.
Who is surprised at any of those points?!?!?

Seen this on ESPN this morning. Louis Riddick made the confusion we saw on defense make sense.

I want the explanation on how an FM signal can get picked up on a band specific frequency system. It's fishy as hell to me.

It can't. No question the broadcast was intentionally pumped in. You might get some echo effect in certain conditions, but nothing like what happened.

Anyone see the video going around that has the Pats with about 7 seconds on the clock and they aren't in formation yet and then the clock goes back up to 25 seconds? Then they got the play off. I didn't notice it when it happened, but someone watching the game (and recording it) went back and showed it on his TV.

The other thing- it was a 1st and 25 for the Pats after a penalty. The very next play, they got a first down- but were CLEARLY short of 25 yards. Somehow, 1st and 25 became 1st and 12....
I know someone in the game thread said the yards were "walked off", but how is that possible??

I am not a rules expert but it appears to me that the interior P*'s lineman lurchs forward and the other 2 move sideways to cover the act designed to draw the Steelers into a penalty.

When the D lineman lunges forward should that not a penalty on the P*'s?

Only if he's in the neutral zone. He also has time to get back before the snap. However, in this instance, if he's in the neutral zone (which is hard to tell) and the Steelers jump, even if he gets back its a penalty on the defense. I'm not sure what happened here, but I've seen defensive linemen shift sideways late in the cadence. The player that lurched forward is the one that potentially should have been called if, indeed, he was in the neutral zone.

Papillon

Sure looks like a nz infraction from the video. Meh...**** it.....movin' on.

I don't know who's buying this garbage answer but the fact that it was at gillette stadium doesn't surprise me at all. Anyway I'm here for every game because I will not give the NFL any money until they fix what's broken and stop the cheating. I canceled my NFL Sunday ticket so I won't be watching this year. I also will not watch the Monday night or Thursday national televised games. I've been a Steelers fan since 1972 and watched every Super bowl win they've had and even when they lost. I believe only Vegas can force the NFL to change and only after all the people who have bet against any Patriots games start a class action for their money back from bets on a fixed game. It's only going to continue if this doesn't get dealt with. With the pussafication of the NFL changing the game there's not much to see anymore that use to resemble the old NFL. I really feel teams caught cheating in a game should lose that game and the apposing team be given the win. That would stop the cheating. Right now F the NFL. It's sad that one team can possablly destroy the league and no one will do anything to stop it. P.S. I don't by any kraft products or any product connected to the kraft name. LOL I'm 100% I'llmiss the A1 steak sauce, bulls-eye BBQ & cool whip. Dam!!!!! but hey. list of kraft brands names. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Kraft_brands

The Pats** and the NFL are saying it was caused by "power issues". Power issues would make the headsets go out all together, it wouldn't make them pick up a different frequency.

they play people as if they are too dumb to figure it out

The Kraft family (and The Kraft group which they control) that owns the Pats has nothing to do with Kraft Foods. Apart from the Pats, the Kraft's main business interests are in paper and packaging. If you want a list of their brands to boycott (although you might have trouble finding out which products use their packaging) as a starting point try here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Kraft_Group.

You are on national TV, millions of fans watching. You know that once again the *'s are cheating. What do you do?

You are a HC in the NFL Tomlin. Pull the balls out of your *** and walk onto the field and tell the NFL (a billion dollar business) to figure it the **** out. We are not lining up again until we know what is going on OR the *'s surrender ALL of their communication equipment. Don't like it? Tough ****, you aint gonna beat the *'s at their own game, may as well attempt to get a level playing field.

Instead we get a fired up presser after the fact. Bunch of amateurs.

You know, regardless of what was going on our entire franchise is filled with fucktards when their best player runs around uncovered all night. The 5th graders I coached years ago would have figured it out on their own and at least tried to cover him. It's an embarrassment. They cheat and always will. I don't even give a **** any more. IF we get to the playoffs and get them again I'll take my chances.

The thing is the *pats said they were also having communication problems .. had to switch out head sets ..
and it was brought up that the jets had problem with communications with the QB in the Championship game .

LOOK picking up a feed on a frequency reserved for communications is much different than equipment failures --

IF The patriots had the same issue WHY were they not complaining ,because it was only an equipment failure not a frequency failure ...

I am more upset that the NFL , the Media and the *pats think that the fans are that stupid to believe there explanation !!!

the problem is we cannot do anything about it

And it's actually pretty simple. You capture the audio signal of the radio broadcast on a simple receiver, then from another transmitting device re-transmit the broadcast on a different carrier frequency at a higher amplitude that's sufficient enough to overpower the usual transmission signal of the headsets, a carrier frequency that matches the filtered receiving frequency of the headsets. Since the transmitting device somewhere in the stadium is in close enough proximity to the headsets, not a lot of transmission power is required for overpowering. The NFL of course would never notice, since the headset transmissions between coaches is private. And of course have Belicheat complain about his own head sets to make it look like the Cheats are victims too. Pretty simple, all that's really required is the will to do it by those intent on cheating.

If it's all digital like it's supposed to be since 2012 and there was a grounding issue there would be silence because it would work at all.Now if it was still analog..... It could happen

Regardless of whether they were cheating agin or not, it's gotta be a thorn in the side of Patriots fans that everyone suspects, if not assumes, it was yet another cheating incident.

Harbaugh saw the extent at which the Pats tried to push the rules with the eligible designated receiver bs.....he barked and barked but he never pulled his players from the field. Pulling the players from a contest could earn the team a stiff penalty. He brought it to their attention and it was eventually fixed. Its never been done during gameplay and im sure if it ever was, there would be a league fine. Showing you have nuts to the league isn't always smart. They'll hit your *** in the wallet trying to demonstrate a protest during a game.

Anyways, let the team brass handle that **** with the league and let the coaches coach.

I agree except that it's widely known at this point that the league won't do anything.

More excuses and bullshit from Tomlin who again didn't have his team prepared and instead focuses on a non issue in the 1st quarter. Coaches say there are problems aeround the league with the headsets, how do they ever overcome such a huge problem ?

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...et-problems-happen-often-outside-new-england/

This is just league spin right now... its been well documented that the issue is perpetual in New England... it used to happen occasionally elsewhere, but since they went all digital and encrypted I cannot find one single report of a case outside of legit power failure.... odd since now it suddenly is commonplace by league suckups like PFT, yet every team only seems to complain about it in NE....

Don't be a dumbass... this is a league cover up just like deflategate was just a setup to allow Brady to get off without Goodell looking weak vs the Pats again.... BS and cheating at its finest
