Landry has conducted his last orchestra

I can't believe people get worked up over this ****. I'd be fine if we saved a roster spot by keeping just 2 QBs, but I don't see any point in cutting Jones and keeping Tyler Murphy on the roster. Murphy is an even worse option at QB than Jones and he's barely getting any snaps at WR. He wouldn't dress on gamedays so the idea that we have another Slash on our hands is absurd.

From what I saw last night, Jones should be gone. Carry 2 QBs and let Tyler Murphy be your 3rd (emergency) option the way Hines and Antwaan were back in the day. Murphy is at least quick and can make a throw or two. You're not going to look for a whole lot from your 3rd guy...but Jones gives you absolutely nothing at all.

He should be selling Chevy's by this time next week...
Comedy gold!!!!!!!!!

IF GRBman's comment didn't make you laugh - you're not human. LOL

Not arguing, just letting my angst for Landry be recorded - again...

I would cut him assuming Gradlowski can show he is healthy. If he doesn't get claimed either he, or Taj Boyd, can be on the PS.

how would his numbers be if James hadn't dropped that TD pass? 17/32, 1 TD, 0 INT. Not bad at all, and I'm not saying he could start in the league but damn, he didn't stink up as some are pretending to.
I know the grudge comes from that 4th round pick, of course it feels like a waste, but yesterday's game is not the reason to crucifix him

i just bought a new chevy last week. He's about two weeks late or I could have helped him out.

If they can't find an all in one kicker toast Landry and find one guy who can kick 65 yards on the kickoffs and try the long ones and an old veteran who is really good inside 45.

Jesse James drops are irrelevant, we aren't stupid we know what we are watching in Jones play.

Exactly victory. I didn't come to this conclusion based on his Stat line. I watched the friggen game. He is slightly improved over last year which is somewhere between not a hope and I really don't think so.

Flame me if you want, but I would consider signing Vick pretty strongly. He is who is he is, but he's stayed out of trouble going on 5 years now. Also IF we sign him, we don't have to run the risk of him beating us again.

I would rather lose every game than see Vick on the team.

His failure to watch the play clock concerns me. The drop AND fumble by James is inexcusable except he is a rookie. Jones is what? 3rd year? UGH!

I blame the coaches. It happens with Ben all the time. How many TOs has Tomlin wasted after a big play because they couldn't get the play call out?

LaundryJones is washed up before he is prime... actually he probably couldn't hit his prime in stride if he tried. Honestly, the dropped passes don't excuse the haphazard, inaccurate throws and poor reads. He isn't worth the roster spot if any of the other qb's show promise

This is the biggest deal to me. With only 53 spots, why would you want to even carry a 3rd QB if Landry Jones is the best you have? Look, if you're down to your third option at QB, you're basically screwed anyway. Tyler Murphy is listed as a WR, but played QB at both Florida and Boston College and was fairly successful at both...he didn't light it up, but did win games. The Steelers could keep him on the 53, list him as a WR/ST player and use him in the 3rd QB role.

Jones was drafted based on size and big college production but he played in the pistol his whole career. He'd never played in a pro style offense or had to make a read in his college career. If he is showing some improvement then it could be that the physical tools are all there and he is finally getting the reps he needs to get better.

I don't hold out much hope but that's my positive spin.

I would use his spot to keep and extra OLB or OT and put him or Taj Boyd on the PS

The thing is with the third QB spot you either need an emergency QB which is more or less anyone who can not totally blow the game in the case two guys go down mid game, or a developmental QB...

you have your starter, who must be amazing, and a backup that can fill gaps when the starter goes down, but the third guy better either have a high upside or be useful in more than one way... a randel el or something to that effect... If Jones isn't progressing then find a filler and move on to the next developmental guy next draft. If something happens to ben, then we better be bringing someone better than Laundry in to be the backup
