and I highlighted your first sentence and showed examples of other teams that have
Also the Steelers were :
the first team to 6 SB wins
weren't they the first team to win it all being the last playoff seed?
Big Ben was the first QB to pass for back to back 6 TD games
where I am going with this is I feel like other teams, the Steelers aren't some red headed step child that couldn't follow suit, within winning it all with just a average D.
They just need to be solid against the run and make opportunistic turnovers.
But I wasn't talking about other teams. I specifically said "YOU" aren't winning a SB. Many people use the terms "We", "US., ETC.. when talking about the Steelers. I was very aware of other teams doing it. But the Steelers or "we" or "you" have never done it.
There are always firsts. Someone has to be first. Other teams have done it but not the Steelers. The Steelers have always been a defensive team. Now they are transitioning but they still haven't won anything with a below average defense.
Also being solid against the run didn't happen last year and TOs didn't happen. Reminds me of the bungles a few years ago. Tons of TOs then when they play a good team in the playoffs they get hammered because the TOs aren't there. If they are an average defense they won't make the playoffs this year unless a lot of good teams they play have massive injuries to star players.
