Bell showed great agility and hands in college and as rookie before he put off the weight, but he was a step slow, which is why I didn't like the draft pick initially.
Now that he's added some speed to his skill set by dropping those 15-20 lbs, he's a completely different player.
He's not the home run threat that Marshall Faulk was, but he's a stronger, more physical player, with similar feet, vision and receiving skills.
Bell's combination of power and finesse is extremely rare, as I cannot think of another power back in the modern era who could both make cuts and basically function as an extra WR in the passing game like Bell can. He is also a great pass blocker.
He's a very special talent.
