How is Broderick Jones and a 4th for a 3rd and 6th in any way impressive? He was our first round pick just three years ago. This front office is garbage.

He's not good. They turned a 4th into a 3rd. I expected a flip of 6th or 7th rounders for him.

Remember that I’m sure Broderick has to pass their physical, I’ll assume that happens.

You are looking as him being worth the 1st round pick, that never justified to date.

You have to look at his value as of today, the day the trade was made.

His value was definitely not 1st round value, I wasn’t so sure we could get anything but a 5th or 6th at this stage of his ability / injury recovery.

Jones still needs time to heal and put weight back on. He's not playable now. Steelers don't have a spot for him so it's good to get something for him. Getting a 3rd is big for next year's draft where they may want to move up for a QB.

Swapping a 3rd / 4th and getting an extra pick is pretty good. I don't know why people are bashing the trade. Yes he was a bust, not happy here, and didn't play well. Any return would have been a win. The issue is I'm not sure if any of our tackles are good

Steelers IMO saw more questions than answers. I think they are comfy with Troy and see upside with Max. If I was a betting man I would lock in for one good LT, one fringe RT and one elite athletic RT with potential. I presume they will add another T soon for depth. As Driscoll looks as bad as Broderick if not worse.

Crazy to think both the first round picks from the 2023 draft might end up being traded rather than receiving second contracts, albeit for different reasons.

To me, Jones has more talent than he has generally shown, and maybe a change of scenery will help him.

He needs to get his weight back to where it was his rookie year, IMO. He's been getting smaller each year, even before the neck injury. Usually the opposite occurs with OL in the NFL.

People can say what they will about the Cowboys with Jerry Jones running things, but they have a pretty strong reputation when it comes to developing OL.
