I've been rebuilding my deck. Well, downsizing it and improving it. Have been going at it since April, demolishing half of it (was way too big) and reducing it to a 16'x16' deck vs the former 16'x16x x 14'x 12' behemoth it was before. I demo'd the side deck and removed it, have shoveled 10+ tons of earth back and forth, built two retaining walls to control the sloping ground (the people who built the deck I inherited when I bought the home literally built it INTO the earth - morons). Putting up a Trex deck with wire railings. May be complete by football season.
I've been bitten by mosquitoes, ticks, and maybe spiders through it all.
Still no vax shots, still breathing, surprisingly.

what a crock of ****. we all know, without a doubt, that the Clot Shot has absolutely zero fail. It was steadfastly tested, tested again, re-tested and determined that to be the absolute holy grail of all vaccines ever and was by nature not to do harm.
You maybe on to something here, replacing 800sq/ft of decking that wraps around my place. Replacing the 30 year old redwood for Trex.
However, I did have 2 doses, and a couple of spider bites sent me to the ER, my left ankle as big as a dodge ball.
Remember to center those joists at 12 inches.

Do you guys have any issues with Squirrels gnawing on the trex materials. Damn tree rats have my shed roof and mower all ****** up sharpening their teeth. I need to replace my deck as well, and want to do the trex as well, but if they're going to chew the **** out of it, I'm not putting that kind of money into it.
Set out a bowl of anti-freeze. They love that **** and it will chemically kill them from the inside.
So, what I really meant to say was that those poor little animals are just trying to survive with the rest of us and they deserve our empathy. How dare someone suggest that their internal organs get dissolved! It’s an outrage! For shame Indy, for shame…
