. Probably tax rates lower. Chicago the fine city it is.I still can't believe the Bears are pushing for a move to Indiana.
AMEN!!So what! The field surface is really bad. It's cold, windy and wet. It's pittsburgh. Enjoy football the way it is supposed to be.

would be stupid to build new you have a A+ location and city view why ruin it, if want add translulent roof out of ur pocket
Most of the area is developed now.Well, wouldn't they just build on the old three rivers site and get the same view? Bigger stadium = more revenue = Rooney's get wealthier. I mean, I guess it's better to line the Rooney's pockets with my tax dollars than some dumb **** Somalians in Minnesota.
What about your trash? The city and state are so corrupt and poorly run it's hard to imagine. At least we still plow our snow, tho, I guess...
What about your trash?
Holy ****, you're right. They obviously didn't think this through. Maybe they could use Pitts stadium in the mean time...oh wait. Most of the area is developed now.
I would think one of the coolest things for out-of-town fans coming to Pittsburgh for a game is the stadium is right in the city. It makes the visit more authentic without driving another 30-60 minutes into the suburbs for a game. Factor in the riverfront parks, sailgating, and free public transit, it's a great location.Rooney has stated they have no intention of moving. They love the north shore site and want to make the stadium last a lot longer. He realizes the value of the current location and the near impossibility of building a new one while occupying the current without moving. They will continue to improve the existing stadium for at least the next 10 to 20 years. By then I will be getting too old to care.
Driving through two tunnels would be awful for anyone coming from the East. Would probably double the commute time. It'd be awful for anyone driving from the North Hills, probably tripling drive time on gamedays. It would be great out near the Pittsburgh Airport. There’s a ton of land that would be ideal for traffic to get in/out right- traffic could be easier out here
Yeah that Airport jaunt is double in distance for me. I think there is more for fans to do when comparing locations in the stadium and North shore areas. Always have liked stadium location.Driving through two tunnels would be awful for anyone coming from the East. Would probably double the commute time. I'd really like to see the data on where Steelers season ticket holders live. I have relatives who live in the North Hills and they're commute on gamedays is like 10-15 minutes. No traffic at all coming from the North. Anyone coming from the East has the brutal Squirrel Hill Tunnel traffic. A ridiculous amount of season ticket holders live out of state, so I'd assume many sell their tickets on the secondary market.Yeah that Airport jaunt is double in distance for me. As far as ideal for traffic well the Airport surrounding area in comparison dwarfs game day traffic by far. Close to three times the traffic amount.
I was reading up on it , I have a feeling adding stadium traffic and draft day traffic to it would be maddening on a Sparta level. You would get late to kickoffs missed flights and yinzers drawing swords.
I have the tunnel (Penn Hills) I have the unique pleasure of seeing traffic flow smoothly before the tunnel and after but leading up to it we have people slowing down like they are traveling through a blizzard. If it rains you would swear it is a Monsoon. (in my mind YouTube is playing people are strange)I'd really like to see the data on where Steelers season ticket holders live. We do that here and there. When I am driving it just depends on traffic flow after I look up what is the more fluid path for that day. Ol girl hates the parkway so if she is driving it is always that route.Hey man
If you’re in Penn Hills, why do you go through the squirrel Hill tunnel to get to downtown, especially on a game day?
Would it not be more efficient to jump on Verona Road to Sandy Creek Road down the hill to Allegheny River Boulevard across the bridge in Oakmont or Highland Park and take 28 into town that way? I realize not such a straight line as getting on the parkway, but you might be able to bypass a lot of traffic?
Then again, I haven’t driven those roads in such a long time on a daily basis that things might be different now?
Yeah, personally, I would stay away from the tunnels..We do that here and there. When I am driving it just depends on traffic flow after I look up what is the more fluid path for that day. Ol girl hates the parkway so if she is driving it is always that route.
I like going down Allegheny River blvd. Usually is an enjoyable ride. They have been building up Lawrenceville so yeah probably the more enjoyable route provided no traffic issues…
Again they said tge same stuff about three rivers then dramatically switched their tone and wanted a new stadium... its always " renovations" then the new stadium BS... if Dulac said thats their ultimate anglr, it is.. they are just testing the waters now.Rooney has stated they have no intention of moving. It's a combo of the lame city management, and the taxes, both property and income. It won't take long under the new tax situation in Indiana to recoup the funds, for sure. Further, it will mean more income for the ownership, and possibly a superbowl. It clearly will mean more tax money for Indiana, so I bet they are dangling a sweet tax deal for taxes or land price to the Bears to make all of it happen. The city and state are so corrupt and poorly run it's hard to imagine. At least we still plow our snow, tho, I guess...
