I did, and what you claim doesn't appear to be true.

Bama lost to Clemson 35-31 on Jan 9, 2017. Both teams had 9 days off, Bama jumped out to an early 7-0 lead, led 14-0 early 2nd quarter.

Two years later they met again, both on 8 days rest. Both teams traded blows early, Bama trailed 14-13 after 1.

No long layoffs, no slow starts. Other than than, spot on!

I was at both games. Bama started slow. And ran out of gas both games.

I live pretty close to ECU, attend a couple games a year. They were pretty good this year. I’m not so stunned that Pitt lost, just that they lost to a team that gets raided of any quality players annually. Any player worth a crap is in the portal. Plus, both the OC and DC accepted jobs at other schools. That team was a mess coming into this game. Happy they won, but was certain they would lose by 3+ TD’s.

I’m not sure about more creative. I feel like they simplified things and just ran a normal offense. Got rid of all the ridiculous motions and formations. Addition by subtraction. Looked way better either way. Just makes you wonder what might have been.
 
My Aztecs are not looking so great to start. They are playing #25 North Texas Mean Green, home of the Steelers own Mean Joe Greene, and the source of his nick name.

Wait, I thought somebody was telling me that Pitt deserved a better bowl game with a tougher opponent? And Penn State deserved a shittier bowl with a weaker opponent?

Big 10 5-0 in bowl games, ACC 4-4, SEC 2-4.
