Duh.
There was a lengthy segment on Pat McAfee's show as well. It's refreshing to see the national media finally turn the corner and see what many of us have been lamenting for years and years. The ground swell is happening for sure, and now national sport media is on board (Stephen A., Dan Patrick, PFT, etc). for those entinties to say it, you know it must be bad.
You bite your tongue! There was a lengthy segment on Pat McAfee's show as well. It's refreshing to see the national media finally turn the corner and see what many of us have been lamenting for years and years.
Tomlin has always had those guys in his corner...once the worm turns with these former supporters (on top of the displeasure already being rained down upon him by the local fans), and if the Steelers continue to shlt the bad the rest of this season -- this might reach the point where he eventually agrees that it's time to move on.
Pains me to say it, but I might have to root for the Ravens on Sunday.
It's legitimately a weird spot to be in. The Steelers win that game, they're in the drivers seat to win the division and get blown out at home in the first round of the playoffs. That would likely all but guarantee us at least another 3 years of mediocrity. A total failure in an "all in" season at least provides some glimpse of hope for the change. You bite your tongue!
I know, I know.You bite your tongue!
Yo! Watch your mouth there, man! That's Mike Tomlin you're talking about, not some 3rd rate bum! You definitely ask for that beer to be ice cold.Who in the world would give us a 1st round pick for Tomlin? I would be happy with a 30 YO Clark bar and a warm six of IC Light!
I won't be cheering for the Ravens, per se. Just rather indifferent.I won't be watching. Going hunting, but cheering for the rats? NEVER!!
Unsportsmanlike was topping him off this morning. Especially Evan Cohen. They’ll never say a bad word about Mike Tomlin. The more national people, even if they are tool bags, the better.
I will never root for any team that doesn’t have positive implications for the Steelers. It's legitimately a weird spot to be in. Btw, I will be rooting for the Steelers in hopes that I can actually go to a playoff game this year.
Even if Tomlin came back following a missed playoff appearance, I want to see them clean house with most of the coaching staff, particularly bringing in two new coordinators.I will never root for any team that doesn’t have positive implications for the Steelers.
I am not convinced the team losing out brings change. We have had very embarrassing outcomes yet that mediocrity still remains.
As the owner could say oh this is just his first losing season.
Then there is the I despise losing outlook.
Some might think because of that I would back Mike. But I despise losing in the playoffs even more. Especially with seeing them get embarrassed continuously..
No outcomes could sway my mind about Mike at this point. Because we know the best scenario is a winning record . Not sure a playoff win accompanies that. I think we seen enough to know that isn’t going to realistically happen.
I actually see them winning 1 or 2 more . 3 possible if the rats sit players last game.
They will lose against the rats at their home, Detroit definitely. Miami probably is a loss. I can see the clowns being a win.
I am thinking 7 and 10 or 8 and 9 realistically.
This could be a repeat of last year and they just lose out. 6 and 11 and 9 and 8 are outside chances.
For me the buck ends with these scenarios.
What would new coordinators do? With his restrictions and schemes still in place? Only way this team gets out of this is by letting that man go. Just not sure Rooney will do it.Even if Tomlin came back following a missed playoff appearance, I want to see them clean house with most of the coaching staff, particularly bringing in two new coordinators.
Hosting the Texans... ,, oh boyIt's legitimately a weird spot to be in. Hopefully not a repeat of what he said and then did last year. What would new coordinators do? With his restrictions and schemes still in place? Only way this team gets out of this is by letting that man go. Just not sure Rooney will do it.
I said the same thing. The only thing that saved the weekend was Kentucky firing Stoops and hiring Will Stein as I have been done with both of my teams and last night was IT for me and Pittsburgh until he's gone.I will interact with the board, I will watch free agency, I will go to the draft. I will not watch another Mike Tomlin led Steelers game. I have been fighting with this for awhile. That stress level finally came to a head. I am done. When this team wants to step away from their Bob Nutting approach to actually caring what fans want I will turn on the game again…
I want a coach that will be competitive win or lose. Not fall apart year in and year out and incapable of change. Not have embarrassing uncompetitive matchups.
I agree. We all see a common denominator - Tomlin. What would new coordinators do? With his restrictions and schemes still in place? Only way this team gets out of this is by letting that man go. Just not sure Rooney will do it.
He's forming an exit plan as we speak, I'm plenty sure.Tomlin is very nervous now. The light above the exit door shines a little brighter.
Think so? Not so sure he leaves voluntarily or not sure Rooney will can him. He's forming an exit plan as we speak, I'm plenty sure.
He is going to take another job. The boos will only get louder and his skin is thin (look at his pressers after we lose) so he will find somewhere that needs a savior.Think so? Not so sure he leaves voluntarily or not sure Rooney will can him.
I would be pleasantly surprised at either.
