Deflategate Investigation: Complete ... Awaiting Report.

Brady will have retired by then

Mr. "I'm going to play till I'm 45"

His deep ball is 7 yards, wonder what it will be by then.....

Pats fans think the league is out to get them. We think Goodell and Kraft are butt buddies. How can there be such a polarizing view on the same situation? I'm just trying to look at this without the black and gold glasses on. What if after our last Super Bowl win, Ben was accused of doctoring the balls? We'd probably think the league was out to get us at that point too. Anyway, my point is I can see where Pats fans are coming from sticking up for their team and thinking the NFL is out to get them because we would probably do the same in the same situation. If Brady gets off easy, they have zero complaining to do about the NFL being out to get them.

To me, a couple pounds of air in a 40 point blowout win isn't a big deal. However, considering this has most likely been going on for years then one has to consider the close games as maybe this gave them the edge they needed. I also think the fact they tried to cover it up is as bad, if not worse than the actual offense. If Brady came out and said "Yea, I did it. Most QBs like balls a certain way. I'm sorry, it won't happen again.", he gets a fine and we move on. No need for an investigation and all that BS. I think a lot of us would've felt better about it if it went down like that and probably forgot about it by now. It's Brady's smug "what are you talking about" demeanor when he was initially asked about it that makes my skin crawl when everyone could tell he was lying through his teeth. The report and text messages just prove he knew and he STILL won't admit it.

Interesting that one of the texts was "before the season" and the guy in question was known as the "deflator" even then. Makes one think this is a long standing type of behavior, likely since 2007 when the fumbles magically stopped.

it's not if the Pats cheated - they did - nor is it about if it helped them win - it didn't.
it's about once again circumventing the integrity of the game and putting a cleveland steamer on the precious goddamn shield that Rog so valiantly wants to protect with his ginger **** and balls.

I really cannot believe how "delusional" *'s are...

They've become a cult. I suppose I can't blame them. For years they've been fed how amazing their coach and QB are from the media, that they should be treated not as humans but as gods. And because the team sucked for so long, the fans believed. They drank it all in. They gave them their hearts, minds, and more importantly, their wallets. Right now they're in denial.

iTS ABOUT INTENT.....what was the intention of deflating footballs...........? There had to be a benefit, why else do it....? Why break the rule......? In their eyes, its worth the risk..........apparently the end (title) justified the means. They cheated during their early championship runs, and then reinstituted it again so that they could make one last run. It worked. But to protect the integrity of the game, a fitting punishment needs to be passed down.

You got your title, you stole it, but you'll pay a huge price for what you did and any other franchise that tries to circumvent the rules will risk the same penalty. This is why the penalty needs to be significant.

It's a culture built on deceit.

All those fans know is success built upon Hoodie's deception and cheating. They'll do anything to protect it and bury their heads in the sand. If ANY other team in the league were behaving like the **'s they'd be screaming like the rest of us, but it's their team, their group of guys. So they desperately cling to the only shred of success they can. Those sad tainted trophies.

What's truly pathetic is that no other fan in the rest of the league has any respect whatsoever for the **'s. They simply don't exist. I have a friend who's a fan and I simply pity him. He doesn't even try to talk **** because he knows I'll just give him that look. "Dude. Your team's just pathetic. I won't even discuss them." And he knows I"m serious. They aren't worth busting chops over, they aren't worth fan rivalry. They are completely destroying the game. They're like 10 year olds who have discovered the cheat codes on Madden.

Utterly useless, pathetic and sad.

And you should hear it when I tell you how I REALLY feel!

There is a piece attemption to rational away the wells report... its like the mom of a murderer saying how he is too good a boy to do that...

Some things: Of course they were going to say that Brady liked his balls at 12.5(the lowest legal limit) When you get pulled ove from a cop you dont say you were going 10 miles over the speed limit, you always say you were going the maximum you are allowed. If they were following the rules, they wouldnt have had to hijack the balls from the refs after they were measured

But to a lesser extent, we dont know if it helped them win or not....

Lets say it prevented 10 fumbles a year, or helped him complete 10 passes... maybe those 20 plays end up being the difference between winning a superbowl and missing the playoffs... thats why cheating has to be punished to the fullest extent, because you have injected a variable into the equation whose results cant be quantified... maybe with a fuller ball, Brady loses his grip on an early pass and a fumble or INT is run back for a TD and that changes the entire game around...

Ah go ahead the weekend is coming

I cant understand why they wont examine the fact that the COLTS balls were within range in the same goddamn elements...........its painfully obvious, someone let air out of those balls...It wasn't the officials, it wasn't the opponent. And why would an equipment guy lone-wolf sabotaging footballs that would undermine Brady, the team/franchise on his own ? Its obvious............theres some serious denial. Some have adopted the mantra "its not what you know, its what you can PROVE".

The harsh reality for those fans is that they will have to come to terms that they support a franchise that has cheated, is still cheating and will do so as long as the standing unit of managers/players are in place. Belicheat himself needs to be suspended....he will win at any cost. We see how he reacts when he loses.........he hates to lose so winning is paramount and he'd do anything to win. They've fostered a culture of cheating.

Here's the other piece you're all missing.

This is just the deflation issue...

What OTHER things are the **'s doing that we DON'T know about? Do we honestly believe that the deflation program is the ONLY cheating advantage that hoodie et al have in place? You can bet your *** that they've got 20 such programs in place to tip the balance in their favor. Honestly, this **** is what B*ll*ch*ck does. He stays awake at night coming up with this ****.

Sadly, this is what coaching in Cleveland does to you eventually.

It truly is a factory of sadness.

The thing is, Kr*ft and Goodell are buddies. There's no secret to that. They party together, did it before this year's SB even. Here's a glimpse of some of their relationship in this article. And please note the times the name of CBS pops up:

http://www.gq.com/sports/201502/roger-goodell-season-from-hell

Kraft had a request, as he often did. According to a person with knowledge of their conversation, he wanted Goodell to get on-camera with CBS News anchor Norah O'Donnell and deal with the controversy before it spun even further out of control. Earlier that day, Kraft had appeared on CBS This Morning and was questioned by Charlie Rose about Goodell's handling of the Rice situation. It didn't go well. "He had no knowledge of this video," Kraft told Rose stiffly. "Anyone who's second-guessing that doesn't know him." After the interview, the source says, Kraft conferred with his friend Leslie Moonves, the CEO of CBS. The two men spoke often, but this call was urgent: In roughly forty-eight hours, CBS was set to air the first of eight Thursday Night Football games (for which the network reportedly paid about $250 million), and the game featured the Ravens. Kraft and Moonves agreed that Goodell needed to appear on CBS News and answer questions. The questioner, Moonves added, should be a woman.

I've been harping on this for a long time. Kr*ft is EXTREMELY chummy with the president of CBS, Moonves. CBS, the network that has a rich deal to broadcast NFL games and also recently brokered that deal with the NFL Network for part of the Thursday games package AND has business ventures like a restaurant in One P*tri*t Place where they play the games.

Thats why some P*t players were able to get on stage and present at this year's Grammys, shown, of course, on CBS. It's why Belicheat went on Letterman after the SB, shown on CBS. Guess who attended the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight last week with Kr*ft? That's Les Moonves, head of CBS, to left in the pic:

It's in these guys best interest that the P*ts continue to win and bring in money. Ever since Kr*ft bought the team, that's been the deal. Don't just build a football team, build money connections and embed yourself with the league. You think Kr*ft and CBS want empty seats at Gillette? Want the team to be reduced to regional television coverage and not have Nantz and Simms and their droll, boring voices drilling holes in our head every week? Of course not.

Which is why I will be completely shocked if the league does anything serious about Br*dy. I'm hoping some other owners who also have serious dollars and serious clout finally stand up and say, "Hey, this is bullshit. Why do they always get the preferred treatment?"

Steel G, I personally looked into all I could find regarding Kraft, his TV station, it's sale, CBS, etc.
peeking down that rabbit hole is like looking into a bottomless cesspool.
it's all available on the internet. google Robert Kraft, then cross-reference the tv station, and go from there. Grab a snickers. It'll be awhile.

In the old days of real journalism, somebody would have really dug into it. Not now. Everyone is either afraid of the NFL or paid to spew a company line from somebody else. And while I hope some other owners would get pissed, they won't. Cause they are also all getting well fed, the Rooneys included.

Vegas betting - over-under on Brady’s game suspension at 3.5 games

So it's gonna be four then reduced to two or three?

he wont be allowed on the sideline during the singing of the national anthem for the first game of the season.
Rog will drop the Ginger Hammer hard.
