Not doubting they probably are the best team but their schedule is not a powerhouse this yearMaybe but, they won the natty champ last year, and this replacement qb sayin is the real deal.
why we doubting on Ohio st,?

I think its between Oklahoma and Ohio State so far. Oklahoma has wins against michigan and auburn and has only given up 35 points in 5 games. Ohio State has only given up 25 points in 5 games. They have wins against Washington, Minnesota, and an over-rated Texas team. OSU should run the table, but they are good for a brain fart game or 2. Oklahoma has a very tough remaining schedule. 3 teams currently in the top 10 and 4 in the top 15. Texas will / should be out of the top 10 though which is there next gameNot doubting they probably are the best team but their schedule is not a powerhouse this year
I think Franklin mentioned unity in the post game - well, he has it - everyone wants him gone.Danielson did say that and it’s beyond stupid. He’s injured. Why would he sit out to transfer? He’s already a starter and featured player on a defense that showcases him.
I really don’t care what a fan of the cheaters has to say. Go root for the Patriots while you are at it. They’ve had a tougher schedule than Michigan so far.Let’s see when they play someone which prolly isn’t until the post season
Because he’s a Michigan fan. Not known for being the brightest bulbs in the box.Maybe but, they won the natty champ last year, and this replacement qb sayin is the real deal.

Im surprised they fell out of the top 25 both have had close losses against top teams. PSUs loss to UCLA was inexcusable but it was still a close game. I guess PSU has not looked good in the first half against terrible teams in a couple games. Texas has certainly not looked like a powerhouse at all and they get Oklahoma next week who doesnt seem to be getting much respect. Oklahmoa dropped a spot to Texas A&M after a 44-0 win w/o their starting QB. Mateer appears likely to at least mix the Texas game.Texas and Penn St. fall out of the Top 25 in the AP Polls...I'm shocked.

This may be his weakest trait. The coaches don't trust him in big moments and Allar has thrown INTs in crunch time in his biggest games. He has the physical tools to be good , but lacks the gunslinger mentality.I'd bet that coaches see Allar's footwork related accuracy issues as very fixable. I think what Allar has to show most to stay in Rd 1 is mental toughness. Penn State has been so buttoned up that he plays timid. Maybe now with nothing to lose, they will let Allar be more of a gunslinger.

Penn State's last athletic director was awful. She was friends with Franklin and gave him a contract extension with a ridiculous buyout on her way out the door. They now have an excellent AD who is getting things in order.
I think Franklin would be fired today if not for that buyout. I hope the AD is calling around to boosters trying to scare up the cash. Maybe he can negotiate a buyout for Franklin.
The decline of the OL is insane. They returned one of the best units in the country and somehow this year, they can't block anybody. Tyler Warren was a good blocker, but new started Khalil Dinkins is mainly a blocking TE, so that's not the issue.
The RB usage is criminal. This isn't like using Najee more than Warren. This is like using Benny Snell over Lev Bell.
as oc or as HC?Penn State should hire Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel as OC when he gets fired in Miami.
as oc or as HC?
Oregon found Dan Lanning at the University of Georgia, where he was their defensive coordinator from 2019-2021, and coming off of a national championship.Let somebody be the interim. Then go get a young OC that's hungry. Hell...where did Oregon find their guy? A really good Div 2/ FCS type guy that deserves a big time school. Young and upcoming.
I agree with most of what you said in the rest of your lengthy assessment post, but I couldn't let this go by. Jim Knowles' scheme was not fine. He adjusted throughout the game? WTF were you watching? He got schooled throughout the game by a guy who just found out last Tuesday that he'd be calling plays for the first time in his life. The only reason Penn State even had a chance at the end was because #6 for UCLA fell down on his own short of the line to gain with no Lion defender within five yards of him. They gave up 42 points to a team who scored 10 against the New Mexico Lobos three weeks ago. But yeah, it was all the players' fault. Nothing to see here.DC Jim Knowles scheme was fine. He adjusted throughout the game, brought blitzes, had a spy. The problem was not scheme, it was the players missing tackles and being out of position over and over.
I have no idea what the commentators were trying to insinuate, but I can assure you without a shadow of a doubt that Tony Rojas, unfortunately, has a very serious injury. There is no ploy.Did the announcer's allude to the fact that the Tony Rojas "injury" might be a ploy to get out with his full year of eligibility intact? When is the next portal?

And if you thought Allar had a "great game," you are truly delusional. As far as that "TD that hit the TE in both hands" you were crying about: ANY competent high school quarterback puts that unpressured throw right where it needs to be to Reynolds in the end zone -- right on his face mask, not two feet over his head.
