He didn't even read what i said initially. I said it plays a part in "some" people's opinions/feelings about Tomlin....but if someone is that triggered then it must apply to them or why be so bothered?...either that, or they dont get out much or are just in plain denial.

Maybe the statement itself triggered him, not the racism part, but the fact that it gets brought up with no actual proof of it.

Those "End Racism" signs confuse me. When Tomlin wore the Social Justice shirt that time with Matt Canada in Indy I thought it was because he knew his team wouldn't get in the end zone to showcase the SJW signs. But what racism are they talking about ending? Do we need more white and hispanic players in the backfield and the secondary? It's all confusing,

I would post a screenshot of just exactly what im talking about...but it leads me to believe it would just be blown off like everything else despite the evidence that has been provided already. I think I got what I needed from this board. I get the kill the messenger attitude. Well actually its better stated that it doesn't surprise me. I just wanted to see (more so curious) if there were a few real ones on here.

By the way I didn't write either of those articles and last I checked ESPN and the Pittsburgh Gazette are considered pretty reliable sources so how could I be making up anything I didn't personally write??? You come off as being foolish right now.

I'm disappointed at the lack of playoff success and your desire to insert race because you think it matters.

Remember that above you just chucked out stories that had no relevance to this thread, except for your posts rabbit-holing on your belief about a topic that was not part of the discussion.
 
Personally I think the ones that find racism are the ones out looking for racism.
As far as Tomlin goes, he is lucky He is the Steelers coach, as he would have been gone lone ago if not. Just like Cowher, just like even Noll.
Noll won 4 Super Bowls and would probs have been fired or "retired " earlier with any other team.

Perhaps you missed post #96 it where stillwright asked "what are the top 3 reasons that Steelers fans want Tomlin gone?". That was actually the post that led this thread down a rabbit hole. It was ok to turn this post into another Tomlin bashing thread, but when racism was brought up as a possible undertone for "some" fans wanting Tomlin gone now its a problem?? My post is just as relevant as your post. You don't dictate how other people respond just because you dont like it. Clearly my response was not unfounded. You just want it to be. Im not even saying that there are not legit reasons why fans want him gone but let's be realistic and acknowledge that it is what it is for some fans.

For some people it could be but do you think they would ever admit it? If im racist and the coach of my favorite team is black why is far-fetched for you to believe that one of the top 3 reasons for wanting him gone is the color of his skin? The question asked by stillwright does not necessarily pertain to steelers fans as a majority...it can be interpreted as a personal question unless a poll was present. Like I said before I've been on enough fansites to see what I've seen firsthand. I really would have liked to have shown you guys this one post so you can see im not trying to sow discord. Im trying to show you what I've seen with my own eyes.

Ever since I can remember...early 80s latest, but to answer, or elaborate on your question i dont believe the color of his skin would be top 3 if they did a poll of all Steelers fans.

I believe it would be

1) lack of playoff success

2) for me...lack of success in picking competent assistant coordinators

3) to be honest im having trouble with the third ...other then that he's not an offensive minded coach. Its not necessarily his forte so to speak...and the league clearly tilts rules in favor of the offense.

I would also say no change. As in most teeler fans can see the play just by the formations. Offense and defense. If we can you know other teams coaches and players can.
Remember cowher saying how how surprising it was that so little of the calls had changed? Can't be like that in this league

If anything, Tomlin is adored by the national media BECAUSE he is black. They pilloried Mike McCarthy for years as they praised Tomlin for actually doing less.

Rooney wants Tomlin to get the all time Steelers win total. Tomlin also could hit 200 regular season wins under his current contract. If Tomlinship's rack up along the way....all the better.
