Where will he play? The team invested a 32nd pick in a CB and just signed a proven vet FA, unless they plan to move Slay inside I don't see how you pay top money for another CB

No thank you

They could pay it with what they are paying the qbs.

Jaguars, Rams and Dolphins. See a trend here?Is he ever happy anyplace? I hear he wants to go back to the west coast. Probably just dying to pay that state tax he doesn't get in Florida...lol

I'd rather get a fresh guy in the draft.

If a Jalen Ramsey falls in the Dolphins does it make a sound?

Pass-too much money (and likely draft capital) for jR

Why waste assets/money on a hostage when they have a volunteer to worry about paying/over paying?

Since when did the Steelers start scraping the bottom of the old man barrel. Man this team has lost its way with Tomlin's desperation.
Yeah this is a bad trend. We used to cut / trade aging vets now we sign them. Bottom line is you can not buy a championship team it just does not work in the NFL. Guys need time to gel w/ each other. You could also bring in the best guys at each position and it wont matter if you have a terrible scheme. I do not think Ramsey will help the team much although he may take more risks than he is "allowed" to. We bring in these guys and make them play conservative schemes that just handicaps everyone. The pass rush gets handicapped by no blitzing or just being outnumbered up front, the secondary plays way too far off the WRs and leave big gaps between zones, QBs are handicapped by being told to throw outs or moon balls w/o using the middle of the field. The run game is handicapped by the passing game staying close to the line and telling the world when they are going to a run play. Maybe someday the FO will catch on....

Can he tackle and play the run?

I think he can run his mouth……………….. does that count…….?

No to him.

I think it’s the desperation of the Tomlin. He has low end assistant(s) and needs finished product to make anything happen. Tomlin is trying to take the guess work out of gettting players but at the same time is giving up the youth ness needed.

Remember Kendrell Bell, he was youth with NITROGLYCERIN in him. He was just turned loose in his early days and worked to develop, until injury got him.

Tomlin fits the old guys into his lazy-asZ scheme.

I found it strange, too, that this hasn't been discussed considering all the normal off season belly aching...

Jalen Ramsey has been a nemesis in the team's side for a long time and he's aging but still played, not elite, but above average last year.

That being said, he can play slot and outside. I love Beanie, but I'm trading a 5th for Mr. "Sherbet in his pants" and this team instantly becomes a conversation piece for "deep playoff run"...

A team that struggles to find the recipe for a singular WC win (heck-can’t even be competitive through half time) is no where near being a conversation piece for a deep playoff run by adding an average, expensive, aging hostage.

There are fundamental issues that if we’re super lucky Mr. Rodgers may help fix…but I can’t wrap my head around how jR significantly moves the needle or pushes this team to even a singular playoff win, much less a deep playoff run.

Any talking head that mentions Steelers and deep
Playoff run is just searching for clicks to get the most loyal to cheer and the rightful skeptics to spew the many reasons said talking head is wrong.

Hopefully a win or two is possible in Mr. Rodgers neighborhood… but right now it’s simply hope, which is a helluva drug for what has been a largely hopeless fanbase since Ben’s exit and Mike’s overly conservative directives.
