Landry Collins In Play at 1:22?

This draft will be interesting to say the least. We need a pass rusher and CB and need to get some competition at safety, DT, and offensive line. To me the Steelers will sit and wait and if a OLB, CB, DT, OL prospect they have rated very high falls they snag them. If no one falls they take the best player at what they consider the biggest need position whether it be CB or OLB or perhaps safety.
 
Am I missing some inside joke calling the guy "Landry" Collins?

Doesn't have the speed? Has problems with any WR? Look, I get that he had a down year, but go back to the year before and watch him shut down AJ Green and tell me again how he doesn't have speed, or can't handle WR's. Too many people are counting him out, completely forgetting that the year before he was primed to take over Ike's spot (and had already done so late in the previous year). You don't just forget how to play, but when you start doubting yourself, and thinking instead of reacting, it's going to be a problem. He had trouble adjusting to the emphasis on illegal contact, and he is very much a physical CB. That's something that he can, and should be working on right now.

Thomas is a china doll, much like Bob Sanders he constantly got compared to.

He might be but as I remember Timmons was injured early in his career and has since turned out to be quite reliable. Not saying the same will hold true for Thomas but he might become reliable.

First, before I get to your comment...

The boy's name is "LANDON" not Landry - shame on you, Buckeye!!!

Now, as a 'Bama fan - and I've seen Landon in all of his collegiate games - he's a decent FS; but, there are better one's in this draft...is he worth the pick at 1.22 - probably yes; but, IF Coach Tomlin is open to moving Mitch to SS - the BEST OPTION at FS is Holliman from Louisville - he can be had in the 3rd or early 4th, IMO...

You are not remembering correctly, Timmons has missed a total of two games his entire career (8 years), Thomas has missed 7 games (2 years), including 5 last year as a special teams guy.

Shamarko will be fine, it takes 4 years to learn our Defense.

and not that his play just wasn't up to snuff


somewhere in between really

really don't get the inactivity this off-season

it very well could come back to bite them in the ***.........................
