What type of grade would you give the Steelers in free agency in the past four years?
The Woodley deal smarts. 8M in dead cap space. Who knew Woodley would turn into a dog? The Steelers should know their players well enough.
K. Lewis goes elsewhere, possibly because the Steelers gave Colon too much money.
Brice MCcain was a good 1 year deal, but he's likely gone.
Unfortunately Cortez Allen is still here. Horrible deal.
Gilbert has been okay relative to his cap number, but Mike Mitchell has not.
Woridls was given franchise tag money. He's not worth it and has retired. Wish we used the money elsewhere, and by retiring it prevents a compensatory pick in the next draft. The Steelers should have had an idea of where Worilds heart was.
Moats was re-signed for good value, and might start.
Blount was brought in, then cut mid season.
E. Sanders. We matched and lost him the next year. Should have taken the 3rd round pick. Too late for a do over.
The Brown deal was a good one. Best move the Steelers made in years.
I'm sure I am missing a few names. Chime in if you want to add them. When was the last time the Steelers signed an impact free agent? Maybe Farrior, and that was pre-Tomlin.
