Yahoo - Top 15 Free Agents by Postion

IMO, we should go for Niles Paul or Luke Stocker.
then kick Bruce Carter to see what his going rate is.

and then add Graham, neither would break the bank IMO....

Problem is the Steelers lost three OLBers (potentially) best sign two free agents so they don't have to bank on Jarvis. Which I have little faith in. At such a critical position...

I agree but what do you think Orakpo will cost and what do you call break the bank money? I think he will cost more then we would want/have to spend, jmo. I need to go back and look at what the fa lb's got the last few years to get an idea what I feel is a good contract.

With so many needs at so many positions on defense, I would let Butler draft who he likes and build a defense HIS way.

1. Mark Sanchez
2. Jake Locker
3. Brian Hoyer
4. Matt Moore
5. Ryan Mallett
6. Christian Ponder
7. Tarvaris Jackson
8. Shaun Hill
9. Michael Vick
10. Matt Hasselbeck
11. Colt McCoy
12. Jimmy Clausen
13. Jason Campbell
14. Dan Orlovsky
15. Blaine Gabbert
16. Josh Johnson
17. T.J. Yates
18. Tyrod Taylor
19. Luke McCown
20. Matt Flynn

Man, that is a sorry list of QBs. Almost makes me want the Steelers to mortgage the future on another huge Ben contract for the 2 good years he has left.

I like Helu as a backup to Bell.
yep....good #2 back for sure....I wouldn't be opposed to getting Spiller if he wouldn't break the bank.

the talent here is where the Steelers don't need it....the only two that really stick out in this mess other than the RB's mentioned are Rashead Mathis and maybe Santana Moss....the majority of the D guys available either aren't any better than the one's they already got, or aren't worth the money.

One is coming off injury so I would think that would be a friendly deal. And Graham I would think wouldn't command too much. Be cheaper than a scrub and tagging Worilds.

Well so was Woodley and he got 2/12mil and Orakpo was franchized at 11.45 mil and was hurt every year for them. I like Orakpo at something like 3yr 9mil with some incentive's for games played. I did not know much about Graham and after reading this he might just be a perfect fit:

Brandon Graham is just 27 years old and was underutilized during his stint with Philadelphia. The good news is he should have low mileage and would command a cheap price. His age is also a major benefit when you factor in the high likelihood that his best years are still ahead of him.

Graham has tallied 14 sacks in the last three years despite being a part-time player.

I'm sure the Steelers will sign soime guy we have never heard of and that will be all she wrote for free agency. I am all for bringing James Harrison back until someone can actually play better than him rushing the passer from the OLB position.
