"At that time" 'roids were not a banned substance so technically not breaking any rule. There can be no merit to your assertion that the '70's era Steelers were "heavily using steroids".
Other than Mike Webster and Steve Courson (RIP), I believe no other Steeler player has publicly admitted to using PED' s.

They are going to say what they are told to say. Just ask insaniti.

That's why he is talking out of his *** to even state that. Any long time Steeler fan would know the true 411 on that.

classic cheat reaction to their cheating being brought up

anything to deflect

He's got some tainted love for his cheating Pats***. Whatever he tells himself to make it all better i suppose.

Driving you crazy, aint it POPS.

You can't possibly attempt to confuse or obfuscate the fact that the **'s have blatantly cheated. They did this to themselves. Nobody forced them. They made the deal with the devil as with all such deals, payment eventually comes due. And the price is always higher than the value of the goods purchased.

3 tainted superbowl wins that really go to the kicker in the end, a handful of division victories in the typically weak AFC East, and the knowledge of every football fan in the world that the **'s cheated every step of the way.

Not one guy on that team is ever going to truly get the respect they think they deserve. There will ALWAYS be the * hanging over their head. They earned it. They scratched and dug, and manipulated their way to it.

I hope they choke on it. They've virtually ruined the game. Them and Goodell who allowed it to happen when he hid the audio signal stealing in the Spygate scandal and allowed them to continue it. Had Goodell acted decisively and properly at the time the league would have been better for it. But they wanted a dynasty again in the face of parity. So, the owners themselves sold their souls for a "hero".

But instead they got a villain. Worse even... a fallen hero. A liar who's built his name upon the good faith and trust of people he was taking advantage of all the time. And when those people found out that they were cheated, fooled and made to look like fools.

Well, let's just say you don't much want to be the guy who did that, do you? Kraft, Adams, Bellichick and Brady have taken the best game in the world and put it on the edge of ruin. They really have. The masses are just a step away from knowing that the games are fixed, that there's a script to the season.

Now the best thing Roger can do is mass damage control and see to it that the **s are destroyed by the Seahawks. Anything short of an epic beatdown by 28+ points leaves America with serious questions about how the **s managed to cheat in the Superbowl. Because we DO know they'll cheat. We KNOW that Roger will find a way to cover it up when they do.

No, it's in Roger's best interest and the league's best interest to have the Seahawks obliterate the **'s from the opening kickoff.

Sour grapes, delusions and inferiority complex. Check, check, check. So many Steeler fans have complexes. Yup, every win the Pats ever achieved was from cheating. They never won a single game without cheating. Now come on in for your straight jacket fitting.

Not true. I can say with pretty good certainty that from 1960 to 1999, the Pats won 255 regular season games and 6 playoff games without cheating....well, the snowplow game might have to have an asterisk.

not every game.
the ones that mattered.
the ones in the playoffs or the ones vs one of the top regular season teams.
but most especially in the Super Bowl,as karma was a ***** to them in the form of Eli and miracle plays.

grasping at straws again ... the 2012 article says FORMER ... he was on the roster of drs and was dropped after the raid in 2007 .

Federal authorities don't list the team or its players as having gotten the substances from Dr. Richard Rydze, who was charged in a 185-count indictment with conspiracy to illegally distribute steroids, human growth hormone and painkillers including oxycodone.

He didn't bother to read it, he just Googled "Steelers" and "steroids" and pasted the link. Big snow in New England, they're all stuck inside with nothing to do.
To the best of my recollection (I could be wrong), the last Steeler to be suspended for PED's was Terry Long and that was over 10 years ago.

Yep:

Rydze is charged with conspiring with James Hatzimbes, 42, to distribute steroids and human growth hormone from September 2007 through March 2011. The doctor also is charged with illegally prescribing painkillers to another man, William Zipf, 56, and his relatives during a slightly longer time frame, March 2007 through January of this year.

That time period was after he was employed by the team. And, there was no investigation by the NFL into Steeler practices like there has been twice now for the Pats*.

stonio, weed, etc.

It's like when you were a kid and wanted a puppy and swore to do everything to take care of it. This was fun for awhile but, can we stop feeding it?

stonio, weed, etc.
I don't see how weed is a performance enhancing drug. I would think you'd be slower and fatter from eating all those Fritos.

Steelers' doc got busted moving huge amounts of PEDs, but nothing to see here. When it comes to the Pats, we are to immediately buy ANY negative story, but with the Steelers, none of it matters. Do you enjoy living life as a zealot? How do double standards taste?

Munchies aside, weed is still no where near a performance enhancing drug, that is retarded. But unless you get busted, they only test at the beginning of camp, so all you need to do is be clean at that point, and then you can hippie lettuce and juice out the rest of the year.

There is no evidence that he gave any PED's to Steelers players. The Steelers cut ties with him BECAUSE he was busted. Learn to read.

Nate Kaczur would like to know if you need a refill.

Yea, in other words, they had to cover their tracks. The guy bought $1 million in HGH. Who do you think he was selling it to? The cub scouts. Your level of denial is that of a zealot. If a former doc of the Pats got busted for moving a million bucks worth of HGH, you'd be screaming "cheaters" from the highest mountain top. You people's double standards are breath taking. Going though life while operating on delusions is no way to roll.

Depends if they were caught. The Pats** have been caught. Twice now.

Three times if you count the filming of the Ram's walkthrough.

That means the sideline filming, the practice filming and the deflated footballs.

Three separate instances of rule bending.

Then we can can also talk about their naming of the eligible receiver against the Ravens which technically was against the rules. They are SUPPOSED to report the eligible receiver as soon as he trots onto the field so the referees can notify the defense. Instead the **'s were using the stadium speakers to announce the eligible receiver. This is not very useful when you consider crowd noise etc.

Nope, I would say that's pretty clearly a rule bend if not a violation. POP, you're just too easy. You'd have an easier time trying to get Charles Manson a job as a youth counselor.

Again, where was the league investigation? You're still just farting in the wind.

But then maybe you can't do this if you ain't high.

I guess zealots need love too.

Are zealots just another version of ideologues?

You won't find it here POP. Go back to your **'s board.
