Do we have Pat penis envy?(or does POP just like the taste of Brady's balls)

Weak juke POP you're still tackled for a loss in the backfield.

I'm thinking you're looking at 4th and 65. I'd punt if I were you. But... I expect Ernie's got something for you on the earpiece.

Team Troll is out in full force today. Troll on fellas, troll on.

The cry of the poor loser. "He cheated!"

Funny how no one cares that the Steelers try to rip off signals too, or that the 70's teams were juiced out of their minds.
As I told a Pats** fan on another board, you can't have it both ways and say that the Steelers cheated with steroids in the 70's and the Pats** did not cheat before taping signals was made illegal.

Odd that so many linemen from that era are dead.
Well of course, because steroids will make a tree fall on you.
You don't even know your history. Step off, troll.

wait wasn't taping and recording audio of signals illegal ALL the time ??? I thought they warned Belicheat about this several times ...

I don't think so, no. The league put out a rule around 2004 or 2005 that said not to do that any more and teams would have to steal signals the old-fashioned way. A year goes by, they find that Belicheat is still doing it and tell him to stop. A second year goes by and they find he is STILL doing it and bingo, Spygate.

Again .. is there proof of stealing signals ?? how did they do it ?? Did they tape them ?? --- TAPING signals and RECORDING signals is ILLEGAL ... and AGAIN Steroids were NOT ILLEGAL in the 70's --

may need another ignore option

I did the research myself and found the quotes that were made by Bill Cowher .. and his comments supports my logic above -- here is the quote -- and a link to the artice..

So Cowher confirmed stealing signals had nothing to do with us getting our *** beat in. Perfect. Now all you whiners take note. The Pats are an example of sustained excellence and it has nothing to do with cheating. Get it? Or do you know more than the head coach at the time?

And you can't find a single coach who agrees that the taping of signals had anything to do with the Pat's success. But yinzer fans know better than actual NFL coaches. I get it. Those with this childish mindset are akin to Browns fan.

Funny how people freak out over them taping signals, but no one says a peep about lip reading, and it's basically the very same thing. It's akin to someone freaking out over those who smoke weed, while they have their 10th drink.

Why did I know that would be the ONLY thing you took away from that article ... Of course he said that. He works for CBS now -- he is not going to bite the hand that feeds him ...

BECAUSE THAT IS AGAINST THE RULES !!!

geez

What I find most frustrating about all of the garbage on the Pats is if Brady and Bill-I-cheat-again are so great why do they have so many things come up about cheating in some respect to get an advantage. Why do they as a team seem to push the rules to the limit every week from bogus news conference that Gödel loves so much to bogus injury reports and how they are done each Wednesday to ball tampering to secret taping to win. Not just Steeler fans but fans all over feel the same way on Gödel and how he feels of ownership of the Pats, how the schedules seem to fall on the NE side. Can't be because they win other teams win and you don't hear this stuff.

By the way, on 1st Take today, they were saying that they know several people who know Brady very well, and cheating is simply not in his DNA, on any level, period. And I believe them. You can hate him because he is incredibly good if you want (I choose to celebrate excellence instead of hating or fearing it), but don't hate him for something he never does: cheat. Get over it, he is probably the greatest QB of all time.

Bridgette Moynahan says hello.

Actually I posted this in the other thread .. but Jay Glazer has an interesting report -- according to him others at the Sr. Bowl are getting tired of the antics - Listen to what he has to say at the 1:50 mark

Some truth your last point. But part of that could be that Ben is such a tough son of a *****, making refs less quick to throw a flag, because he often looks like the same hit that would make Brady freak out, Ben may not even react to it. However, another part of flags being thrown quicker on Brady hits is because he is one of THE marque players in the sport - without question, and they really are going to protect their golden goose. Is that right or fair? Maybe not, but it is reality. Brady is 007, male model looks, married to the hottest *** on the planet, and Ben is like your frat brother at a keg party. With Manning possibly regressing, Brady is the single biggest face/name in the entire sport. He is going to be protected like it.

I have nothing personal against you but that is the stupidest post I have ever read. The rules are there to keep the game fair and equal, not to give one player or team an advantage over another in an attempt to skew the out come of the game.

Hmmm, and the 1970's Steelers who won four Super Bowls by heavily using steroids? Do you want to talk about that, or does that form of cheating not interest you?

Steroids were not a banned substance, tested for, or even cheating at that time. They were available to all who wished to partake and many did league wide. At the time they were considered nothing more than an advanced form of nutrition so you argument and accusation has no substance or merit.

Why does a 90-year old who is out of touch serve as your final benchmark? He wasn't even a Steeler.

Actually he was a good coach for a number of years and did not resort to cheating to win.

Pop after reading this thread, I have been gone for a while, I might just need to rethink my opinion of you. I am fast thinking you have very little in intelligence and may have no redeeming qualities what so ever. Logic seems to escape you. Facts are not presently shown to have any value. Evidence seems to be wasted on you as well. The only two groups I can think of that you would fit into well would be the individuals that made up the jury in the classic Three Stooges episode Disorder in the Court or in the inner circle of Obama's government.

I hope you have a nice day and possibly after they get finished using baboon hearts for transplant maybe you can get one of the brains I'm sure it will be an upgrade.

Nope it was totally illegal to tape from the sidelines... there is a way to tape from a booth where access is restricted so you cannot try to break down tapes and use them in game, which is what the Pats were trying to circumvent

As for the steroid argument... right now 100% of the players are on some form of dietary supplement. most are legal. some are legal now and in time will be banned. IE...Creatine was once legal and used widespread, now it is not..... for that matter caffeine is a performance enhancing drug, and a dangerous one... one day it may well be a banned substance... will that make everyone who ever used it a cheater... absolutely not... you play within the rules that you have in the era you play.

Belicheck was once a great DC. His first stint with Cleveland as a HC was less than stellar. to here dick Hoak tell it, back in the 90's when the league still shared videotape for upcoming opponents, the steelers, prepping for the same team Cleveland had just played, once received a tape from Cleveland of the next team they were playing that had their opponent's practices instead of the league gametape on it. he was retiring when he said that, and that teams knew what BB did and just didn't want to make a fuss about it.

The most telling stat was when Football outsiders, right before Spygate broke, tried to make the claim he was the greatest coach ever based on a breakdown of the best coaches of all time and how often they had the correct offense or defense called for an opponent's formation... he was near double of all the other greats... then they revisited it the year after the league instituted very curious fixes, such as spontaneously encrypting the offense's QB helmet signals and letting the D's wear mikes, his numbers suddenly dropped into place with every other very good to great coach, and, not coincidentally imo, where he was at as a DC...

Driving you crazy, aint it POPS.

You can't possibly attempt to confuse or obfuscate the fact that the **'s have blatantly cheated. They did this to themselves. Nobody forced them. They made the deal with the devil as with all such deals, payment eventually comes due. And the price is always higher than the value of the goods purchased.

3 tainted superbowl wins that really go to the kicker in the end, a handful of division victories in the typically weak AFC East, and the knowledge of every football fan in the world that the **'s cheated every step of the way.

Not one guy on that team is ever going to truly get the respect they think they deserve. There will ALWAYS be the * hanging over their head. They earned it. They scratched and dug, and manipulated their way to it.

I hope they choke on it. They've virtually ruined the game. Them and Goodell who allowed it to happen when he hid the audio signal stealing in the Spygate scandal and allowed them to continue it. Had Goodell acted decisively and properly at the time the league would have been better for it. But they wanted a dynasty again in the face of parity. So, the owners themselves sold their souls for a "hero".

But instead they got a villain. Worse even... a fallen hero. A liar who's built his name upon the good faith and trust of people he was taking advantage of all the time. And when those people found out that they were cheated, fooled and made to look like fools.

Well, let's just say you don't much want to be the guy who did that, do you? Kraft, Adams, Bellichick and Brady have taken the best game in the world and put it on the edge of ruin. They really have. The masses are just a step away from knowing that the games are fixed, that there's a script to the season.

Now the best thing Roger can do is mass damage control and see to it that the **s are destroyed by the Seahawks. Anything short of an epic beatdown by 28+ points leaves America with serious questions about how the **s managed to cheat in the Superbowl. Because we DO know they'll cheat. We KNOW that Roger will find a way to cover it up when they do.

No, it's in Roger's best interest and the league's best interest to have the Seahawks obliterate the **'s from the opening kickoff.

As far as i know creatine monohydrate is still very legal in all sports including the Olympic level. You are allowed certain levels of caffeine before Olympic competitions too. If you go over that mark you'll be dq'd

"At that time" 'roids were not a banned substance so technically not breaking any rule. There can be no merit to your assertion that the '70's era Steelers were "heavily using steroids".
Other than Mike Webster and Steve Courson (RIP), I believe no other Steeler player has publicly admitted to using PED' s.

A memo went out just before the spygate scandal broke REMINDING TEAMS that taping other teams sidelines from the field was STILL against the rules. There is a designated place where GAMES can be filmed (thus the term coaches game film).

Also, lip reading is MUCH different then filming. With film you can go back over and over and over to get the signals and formations and calls correct. With lip reading you have one shot at it. Two completely different animals.

So Cowher confirmed stealing signals had nothing to do with us getting our *** beat in. Perfect. Now all you whiners take note. The Pats are an example of sustained excellence and it has nothing to do with cheating. Get it? Or do you know more than the head coach at the time?

Cowher is going to say what he is told to say. If he were to say anything else he would get fired from his very cushy, very well paid job.
