Roll call: Who's watching the SB, why or why not?

So....you are a Patriots fan. Whoopie. Go to a Patriots board. They are ******* scumbag cheaters. You seem like the kind of guy that would try to rig your kid's little league baseball game and be perfectly ok with it.

When I lived in PA BTW, a little league team my kid was playing snuck a 9 year old onto a 5 and 6 year old team for the championship game. The kid went 4-4 with 4 home runs. After the game they got caught and DQ'd. You probably think they were just smart to try it.

Why would you make such ridiculous assumptions such as this? The poster gave no indication that he would be in favor of rigging a little league game. Steeler fans like you give us all a bad name.

I think you would be right there along side him rigging the **** out of it. You both admire the Patriots code of ethics so much so naturally I would assume you'd be cool with rigging anything right down to a little league game. You bend over backwards to describe how much you look up to a team that are proven cheaters, so therefore you must think cheating is a-ok.

I've never been to a Patriot's message board in my life.

I'm not a Patriots fan.

Again, deflecting the debate into anger/insulting me just shows me I'm presenting a logical case none of you can actually argue against with facts. That's fine.

I do hate this message board when the Patriots are brought up, which seems to happen a lot when they have success and the Steelers don't. It is the same thing every... *******... year... around here. As soon as the Steelers are eliminated from the playoffs and the Patriots are still in it inevitably on a Steelers Message Baord, 2-3 posts happen about how evil and conniving and a waste of human feces Bill Belichick, Tom Brady or Robert Kraft is. Anytime a high-profile article about the Patriots happens it will find it's way again TO A STEELERS MESSAGE BOARD.

Ho hum... here we go again with the lemmings all waiting in line to see who can add the most childish phrase, video or gif insult to the a Patriots thread on A STEELERS ******* MESSAGE BOARD.

You're right, I love when the Patriots are brought up and dominate this message board instead of talking about the Steelers salary cap situation or maybe the running backs in this draft class or some other meaningful football discussion.

Every time the Patriots are brought up it just reminds me how stupid and ignorant some of you are and while I try to convince myself otherwise when we talk about the Steelers you all are eager to reveal you silly, childish feelings of inadequacy by yelling cheater, cheater every time this one opponent succeeds at something. If my kid acted this way at his cub scouts pine wood derby race (in which he came in 2nd to a car that CHEATED btw), I would discipline him and tell him it's wrong to point fingers at other and instead concentrate on doing things yourself better.

You guys just can't get there when it comes to the Patriots and you never will obviously.

You have given me a slight hope for Steeler fans who act like an adult with intelligence. I got some Steeler fan friends down here who go absolutely insane if you don't completely loath Belichick and Brady; they actually get angry about it. I am a fan of sustained excellence, and that is what the Pats have achieved. It's something to admire, unless your self esteem is too low to take it. One female, die hard Steeler fan often says, "I HATE Tom Brady." And when I say that I don't, she freaks out. "I know, I hate him enough for both of us." When I ask why, she says, "You have forgot all the pain and misery he has brought to us." It's a game. As Herm Edwards said, "You play to win the game." If the other team beats you, they deserve to, 98% of the time. That season they destroyed us in the AFCC game, Cowher was outcoached in a massive way. The Pats came in far better prepared, took away our rush, and we were toast. It had nothing to do with cheating and everything to do with the better team and coach winning.

I watching to see how many calls are called on hits to Brady and how many times the official helps Brady from the ground.

The intellectual elite. I thought Idiot was a self proclaimed genius but you two make him seem downright humble. Come to think of it, don't many Bostonians have a reputation of being "holier than though" blowhards with a superiority complex, hence the name "Massholes"? I can easily see why you two love all things Patriots lol. Don't ever go in the same room together though, your heads won't fit through the door.

I will not be watching. When the steelers stop playing I stop watching. I may stop watching completely now. This was not the first game that the cheatriots had deflated the football a bit. I believe one of our folks posted something about a previous game with the colts intercepting a pass that had them looking for it.

A pattern of cheating exists. Once you begin cheating it is no longer a contest regarding the game but a contest to see who can cheat the most. If that is what you find entertaining have at it. Allowing the cheats into the bowl game ruins it, they should have been disqualified. It is no longer a game based on the rules of the game but has become a version of professional wrestling, just keep telling yourself it is real that might work for you, it does not for me. On a positive note I now have my Sundays back. I can still talk football on here when I wish to with some great posters to this board. Maybe the game will come back maybe not.

I might just have to start following college football or even high school to enjoy the games again.

Goodell has ruined what has been one of my favorite pastimes for decades.

The truth is I don't even like the Patriots.

I did in 2001. I rooted for them against the Rams when they were underdogs. I watched the game with my friend who was a huge Pats fan and it was a great time. I felt good for him because the Patriots had never won anything, it was the whole 9-11 thing, red, white and blue.... yada, yada.

I grew to dislike them a bit as time went on. I hated and feared playing them because Brady and the spread offense killed Lebeau's defenses. And I don't think they cheated to do it. I don't really like Brady. Hell, I used to argue Manning was better than Brady on message board decades ago, often against the entire Patriots Nation it seemed (not sure where I stand on that now).

I do think Belichick is a great coach. I think using Ernie Adams (in whatever his capacity) is genius. I respect and admire pure intelligence and I think Ernie Adams has it. How Belichick used that MENSA and photographic memory to his team's advantage is still a bit unclear to me (it's certainly not as black or white as some here make it out to be). I think Belichick has pushed the rulebook in a good way. I think he demands that the rules be clear and if they aren't he's going to see how far he can push them. To me that's not his fault, that on the people making the rules. If you aren't clear, you aren't making the rules right. There are too many rules in football anyhow. There is too much ambiguity.

I think Belichick and Brady have EARNED their success and failures, just like I think every other team in the league has too. I really hate playing the "what if" game or going back and nit picking how teams got there.

That's just me. I look forward more than backward, especially in football. It's the one sport that seems to put most emphasis on next week's game and not on last week's game. There's a certain lesson in that type of thinking (although I like studying history too). And that balance of studying the past and looking forward is most and best represented in NFL football.

That's just my opinion.

Not watching, don't care. No longer a fan of the NFL.

Steeler fans like you give us all a bad name.

dude drop the act ...you are about as much a Steeler fan as Bill Kraft Brady

If you're a fan of sustained excellence, then you would be a fan of achieving said excellence the right way. Whether the Pats are "cheaters" or not really isn't in question, but the fact that the league has had to look into their antics not once but now twice raises a red flag. You would have to admit at least that. Achieving excellence isn't what they're good at, they're good at manipulating the league and tweeking the rules to their benefit. I'll take a few down years than root for a team that's...less than honorable.

That being said, and I am puking as I'm saying this, BUT I am not rooting for the Pats, I am rooting for the Seahawks to lose. Had GB not had their last minute meltdown, the Seahawks would be where I wish they were, at home. Can't stand them and their sore loser, crybaby whiny *** fanbase. For me to hate them more than the Pats means a total hatred to the bone and disrespect of epic proportions, the kind of hate only satan would understand. So I will glance at the score, rejoice if the scum of seattle is losing and then turn it off and erase it from memory forever. This is not a SB worth remembering.
