Most Steeler fan friends of mine hate every single rival we have, and don't want to saying anything about them other than hating them.

I have hated some foes in the past, but not all of them.

Most hated

Late 90's Jags. Boy I hated those teams. I think some of it - other than the fact they were good - was because they were an expansion team they found success very quickly. That felt wrong. We toiled for decades in pure futility before we started to win in the 1970's. The Jags beat us in our very first meeting. That was embarrassing and I hated them ever since that first game. I hated Coughlin. I hated Brunell, McCardell, Jimmy Smith, Tony Brackens, Fred Taylor, Boselli, hated them all. But that was a good team. I remember in 1999 they only lost to ONE team, THREE times (TN). Now I like Coughlin and Brunell. They were my neighbors.

The late 80's Browns. This was just about the only era, in my life time, that the Browns were better than Pgh (other than maybe two isolated seasons). Other than the late 80's, we were always better than the Browns. And having to look up to them in those years was not fun. I hated Marty, Bernie, Dixon, Minnifield, Mack, Byner, Brennen, Slaughter. But those were very good teams. They haven't had a decent team since (other than the one Belichick was building before they bolted for Balt.)

The Ravens, but I did root form them in both Super Bowls they won.

Foes I respected, liked

The early 90''s Oilers

It's a shame that team won no rings. They were something to behold. They were stacked with talent EVERY WHERE. And I thought their unis were cool, loved the colors. Start at QB, with Warren Moon, who throw the nicest spirals in the history of the NFL. Then look at the O line, where every player was a 1st round pick and GOOD. Then you had Lorenzo White, Gary Brown, Spencer Tillman and Highsmith, who might be most-underrated back ever (short career, from bad knee). At WR, they had talent out the wazzoooo: Webster Slaughter, Givens, Duncan, Jefferies, it was ridiculous. And on D they were equally as stacked starting up front: Fuller, Sean Jones, Ray Childress. Gimmee a break. At LB they had Bowden, Lamar Lathon, Eddie Robinson, Eugene Seal. Wow. and DBs were good too.

I know I was supposed to hate them, but I didn't. Not that I rooted for them or anything, but they were fun to watch.

You know what's coming POP. Since you didn't mention hating the pats?

Right now my most hated would have to be, in no order, Pats, Ravens and Bungles.
But Damn until I read your post of the Jags and each player you named, I had forgotten the hate I had for that team.

He loves them why would he mention hating them?

:emmersed:

I hate the cheatriots and do not consider them a rival any more than I would a score board that just added points to one teams score for no reason. I hate the cowboys, aka cryboys, the sea fags, the foreskins, the bungles, the gavens, the stains, most of the others really do not matter they are like bugs on the windshield.

Loathe the Patriots, but at the same time, I kind of have to respect the sustained success in bending the rules in their favor. If Belicheat were our coach, we'd be defending him and calling out all the other teams for not being smart enough. I hate that...but it is what it is...

The only other team I hate is the Bengals. Lived there for about 10 years and their fans have to be some of the dumbest on the planet...but that's not the big thing. The biggest problem I have with the Bengals is how they (the organization) have absolutely abused their fans over the years. Mike Brown can sit back and rake in the money while not doing anything to build his team. He hired Marvin Lewis (who is a fantastic coach), but he STILL hasn't surrounded Lewis with enough staff to make the organization great. He STILL doesn't have a scouting department of any note, and Brown is STILL not going to build an indoor practice facility...

...all the while fleecing the residents of Hamilton County in building the stadium...AND...getting the county to sign off on purchasing the balance of tickets up to 50,000 so that he can say he's filling the seats. It was shocking just how badly the Bengals organization screwed that city. But again, they are a stupid fan base. Loyal, but dumb as a box of rocks...

...I respect the Ravens. They are essentially the same team the Steelers are...

Poop,

this would be the perfect place for you to display your disdain for the evil cheating Pats*, ******* Marsha Brady, evil Darth Hoodie and that nutslurper Bob Krapppft.

like 99.99% of Steeler fans

I hated the Oilers. I hated Jerry Glanville. I hate the Browns and yet I had respect for Bernie Kosar as a player. I respect the rivalry with The Ravens, hate The Bengals, especially now.
Tons of respect for the late Steve McNair. Hate Deion Sanders.

Respect the rivalry with the Ravens--Guys like Flacco, Steve Smith, and co. They are Steeler-esque. I did root for them in Super Bowl 47 as well.
Hated teams- Cincy, NE---cheats and dirty head hunters
Hated teams cause of douchebag family members- 49ers, raiders

I did hate the jags from 2005-2007 as well. I remember them in the 90's and remember Carnell Lake playing for them. So yeah. Now? Eh not so much

I hate bb and dont respect him... I never cared about the pats till the weasel took over. The only foe i can say I hated and respected was the mid 2000 ravens... The titans came close but i never really hated them ... The jags were in the same boat... Strong dislike at best.. I dont respect the bengals... The browns havent been anything for decades... The raiders are a laughingstock... The cowboys have been irrelevant for decades.... I never hated the bills... Chiefs came closest, i guess.. Maybe Denver in 97-98, but i wouldnt call them rivals

The CHEATRIOTS, not because they win but it's HOW THEY WIN. A bunch of ******* CHEATERS.. That whole organization from top to bottom including the way they instruct the ******* volunteer ball boys. Start with ownership, flows to coaching, then the biggest liar QB. On & on I could go. Also head hunters or those NOT playing the game as should be.

Salute the nation

Oh, and I too wonder why the original poster didn't mention the MOST hated team in America ??? The only area that isn't majority disdaine for them is the MASSHOLE area. I guess falseness follows more than just that team all around but than why wouldn't it as that team is built on pushing the envelope to the limit plus.............

I have to stop you here boss. Tomlin pulled one questionable act (the on the field incident) and a good amount of Steelers Nation was pissed.

Before Billacheat the Pats were nothing. So those fans don't care how they win. If you ain't cheating you ain't trying is their motto.

We are used to winning but in the right way. No coincidence the upheaval when Vick was signed.

Steelersnation has a decent amount of fans with morals. We wouldn't have put up with spygate etc...

That 93-94 oilers team shouldve gone to the superbowl, instead they **** the bed against the chiefs in that home divisonal playoff game.

Before BB "Pats were nothing?" Parcells had them in the Super Bowl. That was already more than the Browns had ever done in the entire modern era.

How about when they lost the year before, after being up 35-3 in the 2nd half to the Bills. That was unbelievable.

One blowout SB lulz

they were nothing

Loathe the Stains, now, always and forever Amen.

Winning a conference ain't no small deal, no matter what. They were hardly nothing.

sorry patriot pop they were nothing, not a powerhouse, nobody thought of them as a threat.

They were nothing.

I still remember watching that game and being blown away how every little thing was going right for buffalo in that 2nd half

I had a hard time with this.....

70s....Oilers/Raiders
80s....Bengals/Browns
90s....Jags
00s....Baltimore

I guess,,,,Most hated would have to go to the Raiders. They are the only non divisional team on the list.

Most respected,,,,,
Denver.
They seem to have ended a lot of our seasons over the years, but they are consistently a team in contention.

Most of New England was not aware that they had a football team until 2001. All they knew was baseball, hockey, and basketball.
