My fav pick was the first one..
Just very relieved Hampton was selected before our pick in first round for two reasons..
1. Needed d line line help badly and got arguably the best DT in drsft!
2. Kaleb will be a better Pro than Hampton .. and we.didn’t need to reach again for a back in first ..

Omarion Hampton? He was selected one pick after the Steelers at #22 by the Chargers.

I am happy the Steelers passed on him too, and also happy that Johnson fell to #83. I didn't think there'd be a chance he made it that far.

Thought Rudy deserved a better shot (for at least a year)
But if Howard comes and steals his lunch that’s not a bad thing either for a 6th rounder.

I like Mason. Always a good soldier. I'm sure he received no promises when he signed. If Rodgers comes in, he's the starter. If not, it's up to Rudolph to hold off the rook. I'm more than happy to see that battle play out in camp.

Steelers were lucky the depth at RB and DT was fairly deep in this draft. I think it dropped off quicker for DT. So made sense the pecking order in which the Steelers picked them.

I don’t think it will be an intended battle. More like Rudy would have to produce low points results where the Ls started to pile up. As I don’t think they will camp battle for position at all.

I think so, especially considering they got a guy who presents value at 83 plus they brought him in. If they draft Hampton, the DL drafted in the third were Darius Alexander (65), Harmon's teammate Caldwell (86) who were brought in for visits, and Broughton (71) who was not. I think the team is happy with Harmon/Johnson over Hampton/Caldwell or Alexander if he lasts.

Two more one and dones or less would give him 16 seasons without a playoff win which would put him in Marvin Lewis territory. They're desperate to get him off the scheid this year hence the dance with Rodgers.

Regardless of season win total, Tomlin is going nowhere until his contract runs out. Even then it’s questionable as to the 200 wins and Coach Tomlin’s desire to quit.
