You don't think the season is wide open even if the Steelers play like **** half the time? Just look at the QBs who are in this playoff

Brady
Ben
Alex Smith
Matt Moore
Tom Savage
Matt McGloin

Right now the Steelers path goes through Matt Moore then Matt McGloin

Two hall of fame players, one very good NFL QB, three journeymen.

Scoring 30 will get you into the playoffs, but this team will need 40+ to advance.

Listen to me and game plan accordingly

bleh, we've only beaten 1 AFC playoff QB.....

Chiefs are playing well and of course we struggle with the pats. The other guys are question marks. Remember miami dominated us earlier in both trenches so you just never know what can happen

I like the Steelers chances in a rematch. a home game a revenge game?

Chiefs are playing very well.. Not to be overlooked.

Chiefs look good on both sides of the ball. Great, overlooked defense and a surprising offense. Doesn't matter much who their RB is.

I'd like the Chefs meet the Pats at some point. I think it would be a good match-up and could be an upset. No other team really worries me with their back-ups. i wouldn't overlook them, but the Chefs and Pats are the road to the Promised Land.

No excuse for any AFC Championship game other than New England-Pittsburgh, but stranger things have happened.

It's playing the first guy on your list on the road which presents the problem.

we match up well against K.C., and if we DID play them it would be @ home, they don't worry me. And at this point, I'm willing to bet this Steeler squad (particularly the defense) would be game for a re-match with Miami, I'm sure they'd be chompin' at the bit to make amends for their previous peformance vs. the fish, earlier this season. Nothing could be sweeter than to see us advance to New England and put a smackdown on those chumps the way Baltimore did, back in 2012; that ***** brady would FINALLY get his playoff comeuppance vs the Black & Gold!

But, but....one game at a time. Juuuust one, game...at a time.

*goes around corner, dances jig in private*

If the Pats are the 1 seed, then the steelers can't possibly meet them until the AFC Champ.

Best scenario for Steelers is that Raiders win week 17 and keep the 2 seed. That sets up the Steelers path vs Miami and then Oakland. That's the easiest possible path.

It also gives the Pats their toughest path because it woud likely mean they face KC in the divsisional round. I think Pitt and KC are the only 2 teams that can beat the Pats.

If KC pulls the upset vs NE, then the Steelers would host the AFCC vs KC

which would be the better Steeler matchup

not that they have to beat who is in front of them to be the best.........

The Big Ben era of the Steelers has to have as its bookend a defeat of the Pats on the way to a SB victory.

If not and the Pats get the SB, the Pats will unquestionably be regarded as the greatest team of all time.

Even if the Steelers win the SB again before Ben retires these words will always haunt Steelernation: "yeah but you never got there by beating Brady".

Bring on the Pats.

Nobody but Pats fans would ever bring that up. Most people don't remember or care who you beat on the way there, just who won it all.

The STEELERS don't control who they face on the way to the Super Bowl. If by chance the CHEATRIOTS can hold up their end of the stick, then so be it. Can you assure that the CHEATRIOTS won't cheat along the way???? **** NO you can't as the STEELERS can't control who they will play. Leave it to a CHEATRIOTS fan to find a win cinerio for themselves as they will need it.!!!!!

Salute the nation

You'll hear way more of "MT coached teams could never xxx" by Steeler fans than anything to do with Steelers having not beaten the Pats on their way to a SB.

I hear it from Giants fans all the time when speaking about who the better QB is between Eli and Ben...
