want a young corner to cheer for?? follow the link and watch him block for his teammate after a pick....

https://triblive.com/sports/steeler...okie-alexander-myres-among-cornerbacks-added/

2019 outlook: Myres was reportedly the most sought-after player the Steelers signed in the frenzied minutes at the end of the draft. A two-year starter at Houston, Myres was considered a possible late-round draft pick. And although the Steelers took Justin Layne in the third round, over the past decade they often have taken two cornerbacks in the draft. Myres had a reputation as a hard hitter and good tackler, attributes Steelers defensive coordinator Keith Butler is drawn to in cornerbacks. The cornerback depth chart is a tough one to crack for an undrafted rookie, but Myres’ special-teams pedigree will give him a fighting chance at the roster.

I watched some tape on that kid, and I'm kind of confused as to why he wasn't drafted actually. Maybe he's really raw (and I really don't know what I'm looking at) but he stood out to me as an athletic guy who can make splash plays.

So he's better than Artie? Great!!!

Oh yeah I read that one had a little piece on Nelson too. I forgot to post it as it had an interesting comment on Myers special teams ability. And hey it is not unheard of a dark horse making the roster due to stellar special teams play. DHB can confirm.

his measureables are okay

5'10 1/2
187#
wingspan 72 5/8
Arms 30 1/8
Hands 9 4/8
bench 14
vertical 36.5
Broad jump 1010
40 4.52
3 cone 7.07
60 sh 11.71

he was pretty decent in coverage and is a good tackler and played hard on special teams...hopefully that will be his way onto the team

If he doesn't I'll ban coach for a year

Can't wait!!!

I wonder if a training camp autographed pic of Myres would entice him to can the patriot troll to boot.

Have a **** load of other picks of other players ready to turn into an 8 by 10.

I wouldn't think there would be huge interest in his autograph, but I know sometimes players are hard to get near or just don't make the effort with the fans

Every year it is different, every practice is different. Usually I can get a good amount of the undrafted and rookies. Watt took me a little longer to get.

Some players are just focused on the task at hand, maybe they are nursing an injury. Maybe in a bad mood if Tomlin ******* them out, or runs them into the ground that day. Or weather factors in.

Or sometimes you are standing on the opposite site that they decide to sign and they don't cross over.

But my approach of taking cool pics and turning them into 8 by 10s usually gets pretty good results. I have friends coming up from Florida so besides my norm, I will be hitting camp even moreso.

I miss the convos I use to have with the players as it is a lot more crowded now. But always a good time between autographs and watching practices.

So I thought I would try not printing the 8 by 10s at home this year. Photo cartridges usually are pricey and I think it is time for a printer upgrade. Didn't realize how many photos I had saved. 40 some. Walgreens had a 50 percent off online deal that the store on site honored. When I did them at home had to buy photo paper too. And some pics would come out soso. Man these came out nice and cost me about $2 per photo. Just worth it to go this route. I will throw up some of the pics later.
