Ya... This ****'s rigged.

I would say the league adjusts the calls a little sometimes to keep TV ratings from tanking. If a team has a two TD lead in the 1st quarter on a prime time game, there will probably be some bs calls to keep it from getting out of hand. I think the league wanted the raiders to lose judging by the penalties but the steelers **** the bed so hard they lost anyway. Sometimes things don't go according to plan. Maybe the league wants the game to go one way and the gambling interests want it to go the other sometimes. The London game probably doesn't get great TV ratings in the states no matter what because it's on too early.

I wouldn't be surprised if refs and such rig the games to an extent.
There's been a lot of questionable officiating. This goes to all sports leagues as well. Just a lot of money involved.

But for the most part it's still up to the teams to win.
Championship caliber teams will themselves when calls are not going their way.
 
I would entertain the idea that the refs simply screwed up if one of them hadn't actually thrown a flag on what was so blatantly an illegal play.

Picking up that flag and just ignoring it - that is harder to call a simple screw up.

Now, the missing of the false-start on the Chargers' part that ended up a TD, THAT could have been a glaring and really bad mistake. THAT I can see. You think you see something, but you aren't sure and by the time your brain catches up and say, "yep, I saw something", the play is already moving along and it's too late. I can see that...
