Last night Bobby Wagner LARGER THAN LIFE used two of his defensive lineman for leverage in order to jump through a gap and block a FG attempt.

Of course, he was flagged. It was so brutally, painfully obvious that he used leverage that you couldn't NOT throw the flag.

That is, until the referees got together, remembered what they were supposed to do and picked up the flag saying the player did NOT use leverage or touch an opposing player.

There aren't even words for how obvious that was.

Wow I was thinking the same a couple days ago. This is no longer a game, it's flat out entertainment. Look what the biggest game of the league is about: commercials and the halftime show. Everything else is just fluff.

They wouldn't fix it to get Atlanta in there, they aren't a big draw.

Yep and the year before it could've been Steelers vs 49er, battle of 4 super bowls, probably would've had better ratings that Steelers Cowboys

Its not 100% fixed... it’s probably steered though... ref calls blatantly have favored one team or another since early in the Goodell regime... I don’t think the pwners would be ok with outright rigging... but like how flacco got eight zillion PI calls his super bowl year... i think they were trying to give Lewis a great send off without being too obvious ... but that doesn’t always work out... I think there are a lot of times when a team gets all the calls but a few major gaffs screw it up anyhow...

Like i said I think a team gets an advantage, but they aren’t fully assuring who wins...

I agree with madinsomniac, I don't think it's completely fixed, but it is HEAVILY influenced by the league/officials.
I'm calling it now, and laying $20 down. The AFC Championship will be Pats vs Chargers. NFC will be Rams vs Saints. Super Bowl will be Rams over the Pats. The storyline is set. The Pats "dynasty" will hand the reigns over to the next one, which just so happens to be in LA, where the league has been creaming itself to get back to for years. LA has two of the final four, and the league is estatic.

I think when one team gets up by a few scores calls start trending for the opposing(losing) team. Leads never seem safe anymore. If the team down gets to within a score the league has a contest again. Viewers stay tuned.
