Wow this place is quiet

On third down all it matters is they didn't get the first on the play you mentioned. I love how you tried to lessen the sack with the Sutton was behind him comment. I don't care if there was a missile behind him he made the play.

Sorry there is no Fort myth, it is he simply is our best option. Nobody claims he is a long term answer, right now he is the only Steelers answer at ILBer. Talk to Butler if you want a S there.

I think you are misinterpreting our hard on. It isn't a hard on for when Fort is on the field, it is a hard on when Vince Willams is off of it.

I am not going to break down every play. I pointed out flaws in two of your comments. And Depot talks on the plays he made.

So perhaps you should refocus your frustration elsewhere.

No worries you will have a chance to see some of your mentioned plays double in distance Sunday when Fort is out due to injury.

If that doesn't do it for yinz try valium I hear it works wonders.

Umm, you pointed out what flaws in my comments? Atlanta DID get the first down when Fort was covering Hooper. TWICE. Fort was targeted three times in coverage in the first half alone. I don't know who the hell Alex Kozora is, but he's full of ****. And don't you think any somewhat capable NFL linebacker (yes, even Vince Williams) should be able to take down Matt Ryan while unblocked, and running up the middle in tandem with another unblocked defender?

And, yes, I should take whatever Keith Butler says as the gospel, because he's done such a wonderful job with this defense. Right.

Why don't you re-watch the game, play-by-play, and form your own opinion (like I did), instead of regurgitating misinformation from some article? No, of course you wouldn't want to do that...it's easier to follow the herd.

Nice breakdown Topseed. I do like that he is athletic enough to track down plays and help the secondary bring people down. Also a tackle after 9yds on a 3rd and 11 is a defensive win, but still you took the time to break down every play with him in there, so I appreciate your efforts!

Thanks.

I don't think missing a tackle on Austin Hooper and allowing 14 yards on 3rd-and-6 is a win, although evidently it is according to Invalid Link - Check SN Home Page.

I do think that improvements can be made over Fort, though he did well for his first big action. Big Red is better against the run, and Matt Thomas is our best coverage option period. He just needs to catch up with understanding the Defensive play calls.

Also Alex Koroza is a gem. He is the most passionate, informative steeler fan reporter. Follow him on twitter, read his articles on Steeler Depot. He does the comprehensive practice reports for every practice at Steelers training camp, he breaks down film, he runs an Ask Alex Mailbag Q&A, does some podcasting, and even just got on the NFL network last week. He makes me more informed. Plus he's a wide receiver geek like me too!

I agree Alex definitely knows his ****. I've posted on message boards with him for over 10 years, like all of us, he makes errors, but for the most part, he is spot on with his analysis.

We all make errors. We're human. But he puts in the time. He lives Steeler news. All aspects of it. I'm a big fan of his work.
