Wow, I see the bandwagon got really light with our first loss

Still a good team but not on KCs level.

Yeah, they looked like a juggernaut yesterday against those formidable Denver Broncos. Down RB, Center, CBs, LBs left and right and Erica Ebron worrying more about talking about Super Bowls than catching the ******* football - tacked onto looking tired and sloppy from 3 games in such a short period - it's a recipe for a loss.

11-1 boys. Ain't the end of the world but they need to stop marveling at their record and clean some **** up.

There's no way you can watch this team play week after week and say that this was just a loss it happens. This team does not play winning football no matter what their record says. To think otherwise is just denial. They are one and done in the playoffs without a doubt.

Sure, there are Negative Nancy’s and Chicken Littles on every board. To ours, I’d suggest tuning completely out of ESPN, NFLN, and every other talking head, loudmouth show (save your sanity!), and come to terms that the fact that our team was utterly exhausted from all the schedule shifting, that the mental aspect of that impact... it all could have been too much, and the chickens may have finally come home to roost.

How this team performs next week will be the tell-all as to direction for the remainder of the season & going into the playoffs.

I’m not convinced we have the talent to run it. Watch other NFL teams and every team has a few good runs, not us.

Might as well stop watching now, save yourself the heartache.

Dude.
They can't run. I mean it really looks as though they are D3 college level capable at run blocking. I think the Montana Grizzlies could stuff this running game.

I can’t recall any linemen rolling over anyone in the run game after about game # 3, and I believe it was Dotson doing it. I’m sure I’m overstating this, but I just don’t see it. Our line looks like a condensed huddle on every run play, a blob. Did anyone see how Denver ran the ball last night - even with a no name QB and little pass threat? I’m just saying, still missing Munchak.

They had better find an attitude for the running game. Why did they bring in a FB? This line has showed only one good thing, pass blocking. All of those running plays east/west are retarded and damn near worthless unless you can also run north/south.

They've won 11 of their 12 games played. By every metric possible, that's winning football.

I’ll watch every minute of every game as long as I live. But I deserve the right to be honest enough to say what I’m seeing. I watch so much NFL football, and we look so bad by comparison to so many other offenses. Turn on ESPN right now and you’ll see what I mean.

Absolutely. I've never seen a team so competent at pass pro but completely **** the bed at run blocking.

14 carries 21 yards. Is that winning footbal?

The running game is shot. You don't just find a running game in the middle of the season. They don't believe in it. They don't scheme for it. They don't have good personnel for it.

Not a chance. In fact, do it yourself and save on some BP pills.

Then this team is going no where fast. The league has figured out how to combat our short passing game. Doesn't help when the wideouts are as consistent as politicians.

Nope they're having trouble for sure, they have a month to figure **** out.

Sent from my SM-A515U using Steeler Nation mobile app

So, 12 games in of mostly the same ****, and they are going to figure it out in the next month? Really? I admire your optimism but come on. This team is bad on offense. The play calling sucks. The execution sucks. It is poorly designed and executed. Has been most of the year, but they got away with it. Tonight, it caught up to them. I figured it wold eventually.

They've barely beaten **** teams just like last season. Best of the **** teams. Yay that's great. They are a one and done payoff team. Period.

The line just isn't that good. Too many hype them up for not allowing any sacks. That's because Ben gets rid of the ball so fast. A decent pass rush puts pressure on whenever we try longer developing routes. The line needs rebuilt.

We look better when it SEEMS Ben is calling plays, yet few runs occur then. It’s like our shot is pure garbage, no clever plays. We SEEMED to have that early in the season, folks here lauding Canada, as possible improvement. Then, either we’ve got too much tape out there now with no added wrinkles or whatever. It like we have six plays all the same recycled stuff. Nothing fresh. And the short passes are the one that get tipped. The word is out on that bullshit. Ben has never has so many tipped passes as this year. I’d like to see the stat on that.

have any of you watched the chiefs play?

hell denver damn near beat them and the team they lost to should have lost to the jets

Absolutely. I've never seen a team so competent at pass pro but completely **** the bed at run blocking.

Which prompts the question, maybe to someone who’s watching the OL closer than I am... are the OLinemen in a 2-pt or 3-pt stance on the run calls? I would think that a 2 pt stance on a run puts our lineman at a disadvantage, on their heels, losing leverage.

Summarized perfectly.

Oh, I don't know about that. Ben never really got to go no-huddle tonight. The Steelers can win any game against anyone if Ben gets to call the plays. It just never got to materialize in this game, thanks to a tipped ball. We need to have at least 4 drives a game that exclude Fichtner.

The biggest problem we have, IMO, is this piss poor offensive line. One of the absolute worst. We used to have 2 NFL players (Pouncey and Decastro) and a bunch of plug and play scrubs. Now Decastro looks to suck worse than any of them, and Pouncey sucked too when he was playing. Villanueva might be the most overrated player in the league, and the rest of the them are practice squad players. I get so sick of hearing about our "good offensive line" when I know they are ****. The only reason they don't give up sacks is because Ben gets rid of it so quickly, and he still gets drilled at least 10 times a game. They obviously can't run block at all, but we keep bashing our running backs. The stupid play calling and hand tipping by formation doesn't help a bit either.

I still say Ben is the ******* MVP, and I still think he and the WRs can carry us to another Lombardi.

I'll never give up on this team, winning or losing doesn't affect my life one way or another, yours either by the way.

The last couple of games have certainly been disheartening though. They need to run the ball effectively to keep the opposing defenses honest, because sub 20 point totals aren't going to win many games.
