We know it isn't going to happen and if they did trade him I would think he could garner a 1st round return. So purely hypothetical on if that team wanted a second for him and he was available would you if you had the powers that be trade a 2nd for Keenan Allen? He is under contract and won't be a free agent next year and I think if I remember correctly he brings in 11 mil a year cap hit. So yes or no and give your reasoning behind your answers please.

At this point in this year, oh heck no. We will need our lowest pick in next years draft way more than we need another WR to maybe get this team to an 8-8 record.

You don't think that pick could be used on a WR anyways? Or are you thinking OLber or DE?

Ditto. Plus, Keenan is not a speedster who can take the top off a defense. He'd be an upgrade to our group, but not enough to make much of a difference this year IMO.

SELL

I realize we need WR help right now but a single player won't turn this season around and I don't want to sell the farm in that hopes. The cap hit is to much and we can't spend our entire draft needs in trying to salvage this season. It's not just the second round pick but with US not having a first, that makes our 2nd all that much more valuable.

Awesome. Another "would you" thread knowing it will never happen. Sad this is where our season is. I get these threads in the off season.... :(

Trade deadline is coming up. Nothing wrong with these threads.

Particularly true seeing the amount of players being moved around the league, it's like they opened the floodgates yesterday. Also, considering Colbert has been uncharacteristically active with trades of late, you never know if they're looking to make further moves. If you told me a few months back we'd trade a 1st for Fitzpatrick, or do the trade for Vannett, I would have said you're out of your mind.

I think we do not need a receiver all that much. DJ is doing well as a rookie, next year he will be a ton better. Washington is not Limas Sweed 2.0 the light has got to turn on at some point. even if it doesn't, juju and DJ will be top 2 next year. I wouldn't waste a 2nd on another receiver unless he is BPA

For the 1st time in it feels forever we are not going to have a glaring need on def. we could pick up a stud Tight end with our 2nd or just go BPA

Washington....the light has got to turn on at some point

Thats what everyone said about Limas! No light came on.

No waiting, no guarantee the light will ever turn on, move on and draft a #1 WR in the second rd.

I wouldn't move on until his contract is up. he has to much talent

Demarcus Robinson (Chiefs) is the only WR worth consdering in FA market next year. So we need Washington and Johnson to step their ******* games up.

Trade Tombert to Atlanta or Redskins for a 1st rd pick, we should be selling, not buying

Did you wake up sober?

Difficult if not impossible to evaluate young receivers with two QBs with a total of 5 starts between them. The QBs are taking checkdowns basically going to the first man open which is most often a running back or a TE. The QBs are clearly being told to limit turnovers. That just doesnt feature wr. Play.

And his rookie deal is pretty cheap in relations to potential. I just want him to start his upwards trend.

I'm w/ Blitz...

So, no to Allen for a #2.

I'll add that there are a good crop of WR's coming out this year [look at the big boys from Texas A&M particularly] so adding a brand new guy to the mix next year would be my preference.

Unless AJ Green comes knocking on the front door begging to play w/ us...

and your boy Moncrief. . .

Crazier things have happened, just saying. If his tweaked fingers are better, who says Moncrief can't turn things around this season? He's proven to be a capable reciever with the Colts, maybe we'll see a Cinderalla story with him.

Why are we suddenly looking at trades to fill our needs. The big picture is what happened to our draft pick talent evaluation??? Why are we straying from building through the draft? The root of the problem is talent evaluation, which leads to scouting. Who is in charge of scouting team and final decisions in that regards?

As usual, the trails leads back to the head coach who has been the constant here for to many years. CHANGE is needed and not just one fire/hire.

I was goofing with Supe a little there, but I really do hope he can turn it around and contribute. The O could use his services.
