Would yinz flip if the Steelers went CB in RD1 and 2?

In light of the question I thought I would see what the top prospects were available for next years draft. It seems there are 4 good prospects at OLB according to one of the draft sites and with the schedule and other factors playing against the team this year it would be reasonable to expect to be drafting higher than 22 and possibly into the top ten. Sometimes one can not do well in adverse conditions and must decide to do the best one can. Some folks think you can pick up the turd from the clean end and everything will be fine others of us realize you have a hand full of **** to deal with.

So if the Steelers decided to go with 2 corners because they were the best talent available that would be fine as there is room on the team for two and it looks like outside backer could be addressed next year with promising players and likely better draft position. That might not be the best option but it is a viable option depending on how the draft falls.

I don't care who they pick in the early rounds, I just want them to add good players. If that is two cornerbacks with the top two selections, I'm fine with it. I do believe that they can find a quality option in the third, though.

1 Marcus Peters
2 Kevin Jhonson
3 OLB Harold/Mauldin/Z.Smith
4 TE James
5 S Sample
6 DT Covington
6 B WR Waller
7 OLB Covington

Byron Jones would not be a bad pick. He's a hard worker and a tremendous athlete. I doubt he'd be a bust. But i'm not sure he'll be great either. He looks robotic to me. He's good at mirroring the WR and he has great closing speed, but he's not a natural. I think free safety might be his best position.

Jones began as a safety and then switched to CB. Maybe he will improve a bunch. When the play is in front of him, he's great, but when he is trailing and you need those eyes in the back of your head to know when the ball is coming, he's late to react. That's a skill that I'm not sure you can teach. It's more instinct.

I want no part of PJ unless its rounds 3 or 4. He's not fast, has few plays on the ball, and gave up a lot of big plays in college

So you have a problem w/ Willie Gay pt. I??? Who knows what the kid will develop into in the league?

I think they will definitely take two CB's in first 4 rounds.

I think this is the 1st time ever that I agree with you. or at least I would change it to I hope they take 2 corners in 1st 4 rounds

I am okay with two CB's and OLB's picked in the first four rounds!
