Would yinz flip if the Steelers went CB in RD1 and 2?

I wouldn't be too mad.. we're worse off in the secondary than at OLB, in my opinion.. but we definitely need to address both areas

I wouldn't care if they went 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 or 2 and 3

but would prefer a OLBer within the first two rounds..............

Humphries, Peterson, Flowers, and Gregory are still on the board when Jones is picked.

Let's go Gregory and Williams and we can become the Bengals

Wouldn't be upset about that at all. Our biggest needs are CB and OLB. The BPA at those positions in round 1 and 2 should be taken. If they do go CB, CB or even OLB, OLB, then they better take the other in the 3rd round.

Wouldn't be mad if they became starting CBs in the NFL for the steelers. If they are ****, then yes yes I would be mad.

I like the Jones pick and if it could be followed by diggy zoowha that would be good too.

I'd be OK if they landed 2 good CBs in the first 2 rounds. If they could hit on 2 starting CBs, it would totally transform the defense. A strong secondary would allow you to blitz a lot more. I mean rushing 6 players on a higher % of plays. You can get away with that if you have a strong secondary. It would also mean you can get away with less talented pass rushers.

Having said that, i'd be pissed if they drafted Byron Jones when Marcus Peters and Kevin Johnson are still on the board. Jones is a great athlete but not a great CB. They steelers need a real CB. Somebody whose talent is intercepting passes, not tackling, or playing special teams.

just wondering if it would be possible:
we take Peters in the first and somehow, someway Johnson is there in the 2nd.
then we land Mauldin in the 3rd

Big need, so i'd be OK with it as for many of the reasoning already posted.
Superman has a great idea and it's even about football........

My only concern would be ark seeing Peters, Johnson and Gay in the secondary.
Pavlov's dogs wouldn't drool that much.

Hell no, we need CB's. As long as they're good.

Now THAT is funny...

I'm w Supe. If we somehow get a good combo of CBs (Peters, Jones, Johnson and Rollins, Carter or Rowe) I would be happy as long as we got Mauldin or Kikhaha or even Emanuel/Tull in the folowing round(s).

I think we will be in the market hard for a FA OLB next off-season either way.

Peters was good covering guys in college. Jarvis and Sams were both good in college. Jarvis had low sparq scores, don't know about Sams, but in looking at the chart Peters was fairly low on the sparqs scores as well if my memory serves me well. That Jones guy reminds me of what we had for many years in Ike Taylor, a big fast corner. Ike came from a small school and had some growing pains but was great for a long time here. That Peters kid has some issues that were what I would call others that may make him fall in the draft as well. The guys he has to cover in the nfl will be lots better than what he faced in college so I would take college production with a grain of salt, it does not always translate to production in the nfl.

Now, you're on to something!!! I totally agree - my personal quandary is what does the team do if Gregory and Peters are sitting there at 1.22???

If we somehow can pickup Peters/Gregory in the first, Collins in the second and Kikihaha in the third - OH BOY!!!

I really like Jones; in round 2. Is his stock really rising that much? Probably a moot point anyway, I haven't seen his name on any of the visit lists.

I think they will definitely take two CB's in first 4 rounds.
