Points and total offense don't tell you much. We had aberration games against Carolina and Atlanta. I think QB rating tells you more about overall performance and consistency.
And without his perfect rating against Carolina, Ben would be near the bottom of the league, even behind Mayfield.

Ben helps put up 30 points last night including a dime to AB to set up a Conner TD and a beauty of a pass to AB for touchdown and the logic is "Ben sucks."
Offense scored 30 points at home and they had a 16 point lead entering the second half. 30 points at home should be enough to win 10 out of 10 times.

... and number 2 in picks with 13.. Darnold is first with 14. Mahomes has 10, but he has 41 TD’s which more than makes up for it. Actually the way Ben has been playing reminds me of Bradshaw. Play a great game, but have a couple throws that leave you scratching your head.

Not to stir **** but how many of those picks are on the WR. I can think of four that hit a receiver right in the hands that bounced to the defender, and what about the ****** routes AB was running earlier in the season that caused a pick or two or three. Not all of those interceptions were on Ben. I can't wait to see this board about six games after Ben retires.

Kind of like Tomlin nuthuggers get all ballsy after another meaningless regular season winning streak...the cycle continues.
A 14+ point lead at home was good enough for the Steelers to not lose the last 222 such games...before Sunday night.

No excuse for this defense being so ******. They have invested the draft picks, it’s the idiotic scheming by Tomlin and Butler pure and simple. The secondary, game after game, year after year looks lost. Linebackers trying to cover flankers and slots, the smallest db on the field, Hilton, trying to cover gronk it just gets worser and worser! Fire butler already geez us! they hired coordinators and a hc that just don’t have the experience it takes to manage one of the flag ship franchises in the nfl. Even OC fitcknter hasn’t show he knows how to eat the clock and manage the game with a lead. On defense butler just don’t have it in anyway shape or form. ****** ****** ******... coaching at Arkansas State doesn’t prepair you to coach the Pittsburgh Steelers!!
No, because their teams aren't undefeated with those QBs...
Um, why yes, you can get to playoffs without a winning streak, unless of course you consider two wins in a row to be a "streak." Buffalo accomplished it just last year, as a matter of fact. And, sorry, I'm not impressed by meaningless regular season winning streaks like the Steelers put together this season, which included one win against a team currently above .500.
Can't win the Super Bowl without a meaningful 3 or 4 game winning streak in the playoffs, against better competition, which hasn't happened for 10 years running now.
