Would Jimmy Johnson mentor Tomlin? Would Tomlin accept it?

My whole thought process around Boz is this. If there was an injury that say hurt his follow through and it is fixed/ healed I would certainly give him another chance. If it was mental, sorry, done, I will eat the money. Because the mental thing will not be fixed here. If anything he is under greater pressure/ scrutiny this season.

You could also say we lost two game due to poor coaching. Riddle me this, why did Tomlin keep Boswell? He could have cut him and if he did maybe we lost one game less and make the playoffs. Coaching...

Ron B beat me to it. But, I guess you knew the answer before you put that gem of information out there, right???

Agree. Boz was a very good kicker until he got a big money contract. Then I think the pressure to perform got to him mentally.
I get it. It's like me hitting 250+ yard drives at the driving range arrow straight then I get to the golf course and I'm luck to hit as far as the ladies' tee.

How many hypothetical posts can you come up with, hypothetically speaking?

No ****. Do you have to post a thread for every little idea that comes into your head?

Because Coach hates Coach Mike Tomlin. Period the end...

I don't like sub-par Steelers in key roles. I want them replaced. . Tomlin's time should have been up long ago. 3-6 in his last nine playoff game, an epic collapse the previous season ring any bells?

Maybe Tomlin keeping Boswell will cost us again. It,s the one thing the spinless Art Rooney II pointed a finger at as to why we didn't do well last year. Who's choice was that? Mikey's? Yep. Can you name me one NFL kicker who slumped badly and ended the season in-active and re-bounded? Oh, that's an interesting question.

Don't gamble on a shot kicker psyche! Tomlin says he's a gambler. No top coach I can think of would gamble on a kicker. Parcells, Johnson, Walsh, Shula...that guy would have been cut long ago. Noll didn't gamble on kicker's or punter either. In one super bowl, the Steelers had issues with the punter and nearly had one blocked. Noll opted to grind the clock late in the 4th quarter rather than risk a block. The rest is history.

Unless my memory is faulty he went for it on 4th down and didn't get it. He trusted his defense to stop them. That was in the 1st Dallas SB I think. He didn't grind any clock. He just went for it at mid field on 4th down.
