It's rumored Fox is saying Cutler is out at end of season. His Guaranteed money is off books after this year and Chicago wouldn't be much at cap loss if they can't trade him, then cut him. MANY here feel we have a crappy QB back up, would Cutler be a difference maker?? I'm NOT talking huge money but a chance to play for a contender. His demeanor and attitude leads to be desired. His ability is an upgrade from what we currently have but is he worth it??? His "HOT" wife alone merits attraction so if she is with the package, then it would definitely be something to look at. Fry or simmer.............................

He would not be happy as a backup.

Most likely will getting a starting job with another team.

It's a lot of money for a backup.

He's not going from $16 million a season down to $3 million/season. And $3 million might be too rich for our blood on a backup when we can get Jones for probably $1.5 to $2 million/season.

Cutler will likely end up in a place that has nothing at the position (or a lot of question marks). He will end up getting $7.5 - $8 million (or more) a season for a short term deal at this point and have a chance to compete for the starting job.

That's his likely outcome over the next 2 seasons. After that he probably retires. He's got enough in the bank for his grandkids to be taken care of.

that plus he won't like to be in a place with zero chance to start, the guy is a tantrum waiting to happen

He will be in Cleveland!

If you are looking for a guy guaranteed to choke and make a horrible decision when you need a clutch play, then Cutler's your guy.

Speaking of which ... maybe Tony "Oh No!!" Romo??

I'm sure he wants to come here and be a backup. Don't want him either.

...maybe he would take vet minimum...he sure would look good in black and yellow...:pig:
