With Conner out, the Steelers will be throwing it more and that means

Samuels is the best pass catching option out of the backfield we have had. He was more prolific as a receiver in college, with 65, 55, and 75 catches his last 3 years! I personally thought they brought him in as a slot receiver, but he put on some weight, and is now more comfortable running between the tackles.

Steelers can do WAY more than just give him releases, screens and circle routes. Dude can run patterns. That drag he had on his TD was a beauty, and a mismatch for any LB trying to cover him east west. Really looking forward to a full game of action with him.

Smart to split his playing time as well. Ridley will keep him fresh!

You had me until the last sentence.

They already throw 2/3rds of the time and I don’t want to try to out-pass Brady and Brees. The Steelers were winning more when we were running more and should be in no hurry to put their defense back out on the field. Run more! I don’t care who the back is.
We already pass more than any other team by an average of over two PPG over the next closest team, IND, over the entire season, and by an average of over 7 PPG over the next closest team in that stretch, MN.
