Steelers sure blew that one, with defense that could not hold a anyone from scoring with three minutes left we stay with this DC. Not sure where this team is going but does not seem to be upwards. Fans are told changes coming and Williams sits there and we don't even have him come in for an interview. I'm sure glad we got rid of Porter , our defense will be stellar next year for sure. .Have a chance to bring back the defense mystic that has been gone under Butler and we sit with are hands under our back sides.

Scheme / players / depth /none of it matters as every player on STs has made an NFL roster and every other team faces the same thing. I'df your coach finishes bottom 1/3 then change him out as there should be plenty others who could try and succeed better than 29th.

What am I missing with Danny Boy Smith our illustrious ST Coach. How in the **** is he keeping his job when the ST have been ranked near the bottom of the league.

I think we are finding out that Dan Rooney was the brains of this organization. There has been little to no response or direction from ownership. If the Rooney's want Tomlin around for another year so be it. There is absolutely no way you can defend Butler and Smith keeping their jobs. The silence from the Steelers brass is disturbing to say the least.

There is 2 ways, not that I am a proponent for keeping him.

1, Tomlin is pregame scheming-game planning and in game play calling. So Butler isn't entirely responsible for the suck, and perhaps scheme.

2. The unit statistically improved as the year went on. (Still would love to see the 4th quarter stats as they failed a lot when trying to hold leads. And the team continues not to win the turnover battles, which is one key area in winning and losing.)


We are stuck with him for this year, now we have to hope the club that had a whole off-season of suck that sprinkled into the seasons of ****** decisions. Will somehow improve.

Early returns aren't good as I don't see one coaching decision that makes me pause and say, oh that is decent. Maybe splitting coaching responsibilities in the secondary. Where one coach can zoom in on the corners and the other the safeties. But for now that is all I got.

If I have to find a silver lining as you always want to find a positive. Is it is way early. If they get the returns on Bell and AB, and have a good free agency and draft. It could quickly stock this talented team.

It couldn't get much worse than last years decisions so I am hoping for a little luck.
