This could be the most dangerous tandem in the league this year. We get to see vs. the Rams. DeAngelo is showing he is a better acquisition than the Blount.

Not to be a smartass, but that is like saying chocolate cookies are better than brussel sprouts.:untroubled:

It might be a perfect pairing for both parties.

DeAngelo loses weight combined being a backup perhaps lengthens his career.
Steelers get a capable back if Bell is out at a critical time of the year....

Having a RB who can force the ball that extra yard for a TD matters. Williams is going to see a lot of goal line action, if I had my way.

And has proved capable to give Bell breathers..... Yeah I do agree his ability to sniff that end zone is a big plus...

If both can stay a little bit fresher it ought to help the red zone scoring, which has sucked ever since Bettis retired.

D Williams knows how to fight and spin for that extra yard.

Hope Tomlin can see that Bell and Williams could help each other out by equal playing. Williams shut down still made the plays when needed.

no doubt we see Bell get 20-25 carries next week while DeAngelo gets 2-3.
Tomlin's tried and true method of RBBC.

Definitely play Bell 99% of the time and spell him with Williams when he's tired. DW's great and all but... Bell is next level, he'll be in the HOF

There should be no RBBC. Bell is the best in the biz. Breathers here and there I guess but splitting time no way.. devise some plays where they are both on the field.

...............the way Williams has been playing they might be wise to work Bell in slowly.

Not that will be how it shakes out.

Williams has spent his entire career in a committee. He was the perfect signing for this team and he is better than your average #2. He should get a series or two a game, but Bell is another animal altogether.

I think they go 20 Bell / 10 Williams.

Worry about the offense = 0%

I was going to start a thread about this. I really like Deangelo around the five in. Bell is such a patient runner, which is a great trait, but at the goal line, you just have to go at the bubble and square your shoulders. I wonder if you could put them both in and then empty to just Williams. You could pass to Bell or run to Williams.

Even before Bryant returns, two tailbacks in, one in motion, Ben gets a great pre-snap read and mismatches abound.
