I think the team needs improvement immediately in two areas. One obviously would be to make a move and find a replacement for Artie Burnt. It won't be Patrick Peterson since the price tag to get him would be too high but a guy that could instantly improve our defense would be Janoris Jenkins from the Giants. But it might be too expensive for the Steelers since its rumored that the Giants want a second round pick for Jenkins. I definitely think its worth the Steelers exploring otherwise we're going to sink with Artie Burnt and Cody Sensabaugh.
The next position I think we need to improve is a deep threat on offense. We do miss Bryant in that spot if for anything he had to be accounted for because of his deep threat ability. Justin Hunter just does not bring anything to the table here but we keep force feeding him in and to me he's just a guy, nothing special and doesn't scare anyone. I think the team needs to explore any possible trades to upgrade this position. Patriots are already exploring trading for Golden Tate or Demaryus Thomas because they recognize a weakness so we need to be doing the same. Sure we drafted James Washington buts its apparent he's not read yet and doesn't appear Tomlin is too eager to let him learn on the job this season. I still think he's going to be a good one, just not this season.
Of course this goes against who the Steelers are which is build through the draft and acquiring any of these upgrades will deplete premium picks from our draft pool so in all likelihood we will do nothing or if we do make a move it won't be significant. I'm afraid by sitting on our hands will come back to haunt us this year and it will be another season wasted and another season closer to Ben's retirement.
