Will the Bell Keep Ringing or Time to Move On?

Did not know it. Bell keeps changing his user name.

So you didn't know that an account with a few dozen followers and tweets wasn't the real Le'Veon Bell? I have some ocean front property you may be interested in.

He's not even worth 14.5 a year.

His attitude sucks and his ego is bigger then his accomplishments
I agree, he was telling billboard magazine that he's the best rapper athlete by far and that his team mates didn't support his music enough.

I am a musicaholic. I listen to damn near everything. New school, old school. All but perhaps Opera, and only a little country.

And I know rap that is good or has the potential to be good. His rap music flat out sucks. And he has these tools feeding him **** that it is good.

Cost money to go into a studio. That is where the money is. Buy a studio and tell everyone who dabbles in music they have potential. Damn good marketing scheme.

I think it's best the Steelers part ways

With the type of tag they gave him it looks like they aren't ready yet.

I hope he's a man of his word and retires. No longer a fan of his or other memates.

selfish ***. he knows this team just needs one or two pieces to win one or maybe even back to back super bowls, yet 13+ million a year aint good enough. good luck with your music you greedy prick.

Leveon wallace needs to leave. He’s abused his welcome. I’m all for trading him to the giants if they are willing to guarantee more money than we are. I can’t believe this tool won’t listen to his own mom and sign with us. We have offered him so much... over 30 in gaurantees and that’s still not enough.

Yea, I’m done with him. Watch him half *** this year now. I’ll burn his jersey like I did Wallace.

I am not sure how any Steeler fan at this point isn't frustrated with him. He isn't screaming team player. I even wonder with his drug issues, and injury past, and last years holdout how the Steelers aren't frustrated as well. Yet there they are throwing out that exclusive tag. Why? Why not let him see his worth? I suppose they could still do that, but I am doubting they will.

At this point with his demands why not? They have shown they pay well but won't break the bank. But at this point do they really think this greedy ****** will sign? I initially thought so, but it is looking more and more less likely.

I am just done with his ignorant tweets, wanting to break the bank knowing it isn't the Steelers way. But yet there he is rearing his ugly head.

I shouldn't be shocked as he has shown to make bad decisions what is one more.

Just tired of him and the process. Wanting it to end one way or another.

And if the way is he is traded so be it.

What I will be pissed with is if he signs the tag and then the Steelers let him go next year.

To me that isn't smart football. You get something for that value. Even if it is a first and a 3rd.... something.....

As if I am the Steelers I think you have to wonder if he is sign-able, and if he isn't?

Then I think you have to field offers for a trade.

Clear cap room, bring in a S and ILBer. Then draft like he is gone.

Then when he signs the tag you immediately ship him off.

Even if it is a 1 and 3 NEXT year.

His team mates dont feel the same way as some fans

"I really don't want to get into stats and relative worth because I know what I see and feel. And as for this nonsense that Bell is some kind of a divisive personality, you're only showing you haven't been in the locker room and don't know how the rest of the team feels. Trust me, they love him and look up to him and are pulling for him to become the third highest paid player on the team. That would be more unifying than divisive, and that's why the Steelers have historically paid attention to their own pay scale."

DEVILS advocate here................. Your talk here makes it seem as though you are in the locker room, ARE YOU? You know about as much as the rest of us. You don't know if those couple players are speaking "player" speak or not. You don't know what the OL think because they are going to be taking pay cuts for this RB. How about Ju Ju and his up coming contract negotiations....... Are you saying all these guys are willing to take pay cuts for Bell's pay??? What about the team roster and improvement on the "D". Do you not thin k Ben Rothlesberger realized they need improvement there to advance in his waning years???????? You can search and find articles to support any opinion but don't act or condescend down to the rest of us as to you knowing what the locker room is all about because you, I, nor nearly anybody else here really knows that. The amount of money Bell is commanding is detrimental to the team weather you agree or not. Is he worth that amount of $$$$$$$, ONLY the STEELERS organization can determine that and currently it is a NO. Do I wish it would play out differently and some how he could be kept,...YES but it don't look as though that will be the case. PLAY this year and gone next.

BLAST me all you want but this is how I see it.

I guess he really thinks he's worth 18 mil a year. Didn't we offer him 34 mil guaranteed over first 2 years last year? 6 million more than the two tags combined. I bet he ends broke by the time he is 40.

My first wish would be that he signs the tag, and agrees to a long term deal. Probably not going to happen though. If he holds out we should trade hi, if he ever signs. We don't need the distraction again.

Just because a few teammates feel one way doesn't mean all of the others feel the same way.

Running those lips on social media got MB spanked. Don't think the FO doesn't pay attention. Bell runs his mouth a lot.

Of course the Steelers still want him, but don't fool yourself into thinking there isn't a breaking point.

Nor do any of us know if that breaking point is on the cusp.

I will tell you they do view that drug incident as a strike.

don't fool yourself into thinking your speculation is correct. Because you can easily be wrong.

That would be more unifying than divisive

this is trying to turn a opinion into a fact

not drinking this unknown inaccurate concoction

But regardless I can see how he acts. And he is a head case.

Steelers just put up with it because of the talent level.

I'm not anti-Bell but he is soon to be 27, and has a lot of potential negatives going against him:

1) He's had a heavy workload for several seasons now so the miles that have piled up tend not to serve a RB well as they approach 30.
2) His off-field substance issues means he's one more bad decision away from another lengthy suspension.
3) He's an annual distraction to the ongoing team-building process
4) His cap hit, whether under the Franchise Tag or on a longer term deal is going to be a large percentage of the overall cap.

I'm curious what his perceived trade value is right now? I really don't know. What is the consensus on what type of draft pick or starter-level player could the Steelers get for him? And would we be better picking up a high draft pick (if possible) or a starting level ILB and then draft a RB high? I thought that kid from LSU (Guice) was a beast last year and while not the receiver that Bell is, and not the power of Fornette, he is a blend of the two that might work if we had an extra pick early.

But then again, why would any team give a high pick for the annual headache of Bell?

I think you could get a 1 possible two 1's. If not a 1 and a 3rd I think at worse.

Lol reporters only know what players are willing to tell them. On a small scale more often than not. Don't hang your hat on what Wex says or what a player or two told Wex.

Oh we back to this again. Not believing reporters or players when it doesn't fit our narrative.

To me, he is Darrel Revis 2.0 (in his younger days of course) when it comes to contract negotiations.
